Hello Smile

Well my 4400x2 amd 939 socket cpu has gone kaput.
Now I'm after a similar cpu(no slower) but has to be a 939 socket cpu?
I know these are obsolete now but surely they stock them somewhere?
Any links and i'll be grateful Smile

I been looking for new 939 cpu for months now

just look at this

I think you would be better if you buy AM2 motherboard + cpu combo for like 300$

I ordered a new 939 socket motherboard thinking that has gone, so when i get it monday I'll send it back as the wrong item then buy an am2, no doubt 2 stick of 1 gig of ram but there cheap these days, then i have to choose a cpu.
I'm not going near the top end, I'll buy a dual core intel chip i think.

lol why would he go from a dual core to a single Razz

anywho, it'll be cheaper to go AM2 especially if your not in the states. Legacy hardware costs more than when it comes out brand new if not the same.

You can get an AM2 6000+ 85watt 3.1GHz edition for like 80 bucks here in the states.

nope, I don't think we have any electronic stores that do. It wouldn't benefit you anyways as you'd get hit with customs more than likely

it seems like TigerDirect does though.

I would strongly urge you to only buy PC components from a store by you or at least in your country. The failure rate of PC components now days, if you got a dud, you'd be screwed, then again, I've never heard of a sour CPU before..

You mean you will buy a dual core AMD chip if you are getting that socket mobo. Intel would be a much better option over AMD btw
