For whatever reason the Russian version installed the textures first before compressing it in a BSA archive, interesting stuff in there.
Will also go trough the INI file and adjust a few things, should be interesting to see the results of that.
Looks like a good game, unfortunately my pre-order won't arrive until late this week or early next week but this is good enough until then.

wasn't there something in oblivion, that affected fps quite a bit (preload or prefetch or something in graphic driver options) ?

to the fps-drop outside: try 2x aa. everything above kills performance i read somewhere.

If you do as ragtag said it will be full english from the start, you don't have to do anything except replace the exes.

Yeah, I thought this was going to be a lot of hassle to get working but following those instructions it went without a hitch. Now working in full English, just have to work these damn settings out...

Why is it, when a game is released with all these TECHNICAL problems for the average installer/player, you guys flood this section of forum with all these questions?
I have never seen a thread just about the game, as in reviews, playablity, fun or not...always way too many..whining posts...go post in the tech section and clean this crap up...oh, please.

You can't, it's as good as it gets with this version.
So to reiterate as ragtag stated; start installation with x:\setup.exe /lang=en. Then it gets as english as it ever will get with this media. Of course replace X with the drive you have the mdf mounted.
Now stop asking how to make this or that english because this is it. |

Along with the above tweaks all console commands from Oblivion also appear to work in Fallout 3 with some modifications. (TGM also gives unlimited ammo and AP points for example.)
