Hey, got a question for you. There are alot of british shows debuting on tv (canadian and british). Maybe you can help me with this

On one show, called The Flight of the Concords, the one guy's name is Bret. We here in NA pronounce Bret as in net without the n, so Bret (best way I could describe it). But until yesterday when they released a new commercial where they showed the names of the 2 english guys, they had a commercial where the Bret guy said his name. Here's how he said his name in an older commercial "Hi, my name is Brit and this is my friend Jermaine". So I thought this guys name was Brit.
Then on the new commercial they have his name underneath while he's talking about the show and it says Bret, but when he says it, it comes out as Brit. At first i thought maybe my hearing was bad or something. But my dad saw the both commercial (its on the comedy network) and he also thought the guys name was Brit.

Is that how english folks pronounce the name Bret? Instead of net, with a Br in front instead of the n, they say Bret as in Brit.

Is this like a specific region tounge or do all englishmen say Bret like Brit?

LOL! it was 20 year or more ago Dazz you stupid twat.

Quote:
WE ARE A a mail-order bridal service representing a variety of women from Sunderland who are looking for a prosperous new life in your country, away from the poverty and hardships of Wearside.

They seek the glamour of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan or Serbia – and would like to meet any farm hands, soldiers or nuclear plant workers who like to flash the roubles around.

Our ladies have cosmopolitan tastes. Lovers of fine fizzy wines from the Bella region of Northern Italy and connoisseurs of the finest kebabs, they’d bring a touch of sophistication to the table of any Chechnyan caravan.

If it’s beauty you’re after, look no further than our Mackem Maidens. You won’t find paler skin this side of the Urals, and most have their own teeth.

These shapely ladies know how to look after their bodies, spending hours each day pursuing traditional pastimes such as pie making and bingo.

We all know Russian men like big families – just like in Sunderland!

Skilled in raising children, five or six is perfectly normal for Wearside women. But who knows: if one father was to stick around, this could easily hit double figures.

Please peruse our catalogue and compare our prices.

But remember: they don’t come cheaper than Sunderland women.

there's no humor in this at all

you've posted an offensive video link
you've called me a twat
you've called other people sad twats
you've called everybody from Sunderland wankers who arent capable of using Computers

You are no better than any other football hooligan, I personally feel that you should either apologise to the people from Sunderland or recieve a temp ban. Neither will happen though because the moderators are pretty fucking one sided when it comes to females on the internet.

I don't really give a shit what you think of me as that's far from the point. The fact of the matter is that this thread is extremely offensive and well Jenni won't be punished for it - an absolute joke to be honest but welcome to NFO-suckoffamodanddontgotojailcollect£200-hump
