Is there a way to make it so when you ignore someone that you won't see his message in any way? I've got people ignored who I can't stomache to even see their name pop up but I still have to see their messages when being quoted.

No, unfortunately no... This is missing in all forum software I've seen. The official reason is, ignored one might post something useful to you and you'd never know he did.
