The Crow, I robot and Dark city were all cool and dope and had awsum atmosphere, this is heading down the same path so it'll be dope. As long as it's not like the happening  it'll be dope!

Granted, I haven't gotten around to watching Dark City yet, but he doesn't make great movies either. He's only made 3 feature films so far, so it's not like he has the rep of a Scorsese just yet.

Most directors fade when you compare them to Scorsese  The man has made feature movies since the 70s, comparing him to Proyas who has made three feature movies since the 90s is quite irrelevant. Not all directors can make a movie every other year.
That being said, I think both The Crow and Dark City are excellent movies with great amotsphere.
I, Robot is so-so, it's more of an entertaining action blockbuster (which really should have been a more in-depth clever sci-fi). But I blame the scriptwriter and Will Smith, not Alex Proyas for that. |

That plot idea reminds me of "The Foundation" by Isaac Asimov, wherein numbers predict/calculate the future to come. Loved the book, hopefully this will be interesting aswell.
