I see your point, but you can't deny that there *ARE* links in the C&C universe shared between the Tiberium and RA series. Obviously, the appearance of Kane in RA1, statements made by EA and the dev team and new unreleased games where EA stated some links are clarified between C&C Tiberium and C&C RA.

Links and quotes:

Wikipedia:
Quote:

The story of the original Command & Conquer: Red Alert game portrays the early in-universe history of the main C&C storyline, and leads directly to the Tiberium story arc of the Command & Conquer franchise.[1][2][3][4] However, with the addition of the title Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 at the hands of a new team of developers in September 2000, this connection was rendered unclear, with fans of the series becoming split as to whether or not the time travel excursions of the Red Alert series were forming a separate continuity altogether, or just another side adventure on the way to the Tiberian era. At the time of the release of the 10th anniversary compilation pack, known as Command & Conquer: The First Decade, this new and second C&C development team claimed in interviews on the pack's bonus DVD that the games existed as three separate universes -- Tiberium, Red Alert and Generals. However, with the release of the title of Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars in 2007, at the hands of a third new development team from Electronic Arts Los Angeles, EA published a featured document pertaining to C&C 3's storyline in which a direct reference to Kane's appearance in the 1950s of Command & Conquer: Red Alert is made.[5] On July 25th of the same year, a Command & Conquer: Renegade-themed modification for the game Crysis was officially announced by Electronic Arts, which is stated to directly link the first Red Alert game to Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn[6]

EA C&C Intel site, announcing a mod for Crysis in the C&C universe:
Quote:

The Dead 6 is an interactive extension of the Command & Conquer franchise. From the battlefield perspective you will get to experience, and change the fate of C&C as you know it.

In the single player campaign you will play each member of The Dead 6 on their final “death” missions which take place all over the world in “close to factual” theaters of war. Once completing the 6 members of the team, you will push the team into overdrive and enter into leading the 6 character team from any perspective. The possibilities and choices are almost limitless on how you can approach these campaigns.

Ever wonder what happened between Red Alert and Tiberium Dawn?

Still breaking you head on how the “bad” guys have a mammoth, then later the “good” guys have it?

Left clueless as to what happened with age old technology that just seemed to disappear?

The Dead 6 will answer those questions and more with our episodic campaign missions.

So there still *are* connections to be explored, and EA hasn't cut the line between those two franchises. There are elements of the story shared between those two franchises, however separated by a thin vague line.

Also, Westwood meant RA1 to be the prequel of the original C&C game, which is why Kane appeared as Stalin's advisor and revealed the creation of Nod at the end of the game. Nod is actually based around the wealth and power of the USSR of the RA games, according to the original Westwood storyline, which EA seems to want to implement in new upcoming games and/or mods. Red Alert 3 on the other hand seems to have no links at all with the prequels and is based on yet another alternate timeline created by the USSR.

I hope some of this clarifies my point and I apologize for being a dick earlier.

A user created mod is not the storyline either.

I told you there was a connection, but with Red Alert 3 EA decided to distinctively seperate the two storylines.

Once again framerate is limited to 30. Feels like rape after playing RTS's with unlimited FPS.

I just played my first game and i won xD

This guy didn't even start to build an army, only when i attacked him. So then i started to produce even more units, combination of land air and sea assault units, and then his base got quite overwhelmed Razz

EA redeemed themselves from Tiberium Wars, this is the best C&C game since RA2 IMO.
