Quest for Booty



Should be out on the European and US PLAYSTATION Network stores this Thursday (21st August), costing a very respectable £10. It's being billed as an entry into the Ratchet and Clank universe for newbies, and equally as a continuation of the original PS3 games story, so something for everyone. It will also feature trophy support, clock in at around 3-5 hours of gameplay and by all accounts looks even better than the original.

Download size is 2.3GB but the interesting part is that if you wait until September 12th you can buy it for the exact same price at retail on BluRay. That's pretty cool and will no doubt be attractive for newer PS3 owners.

10 pound for a BD game? I really doubt that... Of course, industry bluray blankets are much cheaper, but they have higher production costs in total...

And 2,3gig? That is quite a lot, but I guess it's the HD textures that take all the space...

It's actually around 3.2GB in Europe, something to do with all the languages. Apparently it doesn't have trophy support after all? Huge oversight if you ask me, hope it's patched in. Reviews are middling, praising it's first half of platforming and puzzles but lamenting the length of the game and the focus on combat towards the end. Seems worth the low price tag for fans of the series mind.

Well, how long can a game be for 10bp? I'd say it will cost about 15€ here then. 3-4 hours would be ok IMO, just remember that most 70€ games only last about 10 hours...
