I've seen a few people who have been having the same problem i was with Vampire: Bloodlines so thought i'd let people know what fixed it for me.
when starting Bloodlines, my pc would blue screen then reboot. i tried different drivers and even formatted my machine and reinstalled XP, but still no joy.
in the end all i had to do was go into the bios as my pc was booting, there is a option for "AGP Aperture size" mine was set at 256, so i dropped it down to 128. now vampire works fine and starts every time.
so if you are having the same problem with bloodlines, maybe you should try dropping the size in your bios. it might help
