The Dark Knight - 7/10

Well, I finally bit the bullet and watched it with my GF tonight. She enjoyed it and well, I was pleasantly surprised at most. Pleasantly surprised yet still 7/10? WTF Kaeye you ask?

Well, It gets this high mark for the following things : Acting, cinematography, atmosphere and Maggie Gylenhaal's sweet self.

The batman and superhero stuff was still kinda lame as was the first film, but this film was more adult and had more of a believable story so I enjoyed it more. Heath ledger played the joker very eerily, but wasnt the best part imo.

Id say worth a watch if you have a reason to do so, but in all honest I probably wont watch it again.

Mutant Chronicles 3/10.

Meh. It really did have some places where I thought, "that could have been cool". (Note: COULD have). Had soem decent gore parts. . . that looked a little too cimic book -like but kinda a cool effect. Maybe I watched because for soem reason I kept thinking of Left4dead when watching it, and I want that game BADLY.
The best part was the beginning with the fighting. Kinda slid quickly down hill from there. . . but i did watch the whole thing, so i guess it didn't suck so bad that i turned it off. Only watch if you have nothing else to do or watch. Was like a made for sci-fi channel movie.

What do you mean "too", are you daft. "Too" would've been appropriate if I had said "I like Cloverfield", "Oh, I bet you like Steven Seagal movies too". But I didn't like Cloverfield. You're not representing the population that appreciate Cloverfield very well, if you're trying to make it seem like a movie that people with taste like.

Also, Under Siege is a pretty decent action-movie, but nearly all the rest of his movies suck.

Agreed, the low-budget made it unbearable to watch.

Hellboy 2 7/10 - Lacking some action (possible?) and great storyline (really?) , still a decent time-waster. Mayby HD version will blow my mind.

No good? Sad

Even if you kinda like Ben Stiller comedy?

For me:

Batman: The Dark Knight 9/10
Best action movie I've seen, perhaps a bit overrated (all the omgbestmovieEVAR) but extremely solid. Great actors (if you take a good look at the cast, perhaps it's the best cast of "our time" with the exception of Maggie Gyllenhaal, ugh), awesome writing, perfect atmosphere. Without a doubt the best superhero movie ever and as i said, the best action movie I've seen.

well to be fair people really expect an action packed hellboy movie. not a romantic hero movie.... y'know. yeh it's good, but people these days love action. drama and what not... has no room in the minds of lil kids. Razz

There are a few healthy laughs in there, but it is bone dry between those moments, and the laughs that are in there aren't enough to carry the movie.
