The game im trying to run is Silver by spiralhouse. The problem is my card (98000gtx 512mb) don't have the old technology needed to run it flawlessly. The problem in the game is then ever you press F12 the game pause and then it dose that a brown-ish layer is put on the screen to show that it is paused but his crashes the game, this brown-ish layer also gets on then you try to get to the map in you're inventory. And it is also a game breaker after you talk to the oracle the game put up the inventory were the map is and boom the game crash and you can never get past that.

Is there a way with 3DAnalyzer (or any other software) to emulate a lesser good card or to make this brown thing go away or make it not crash the game.

Game paused:

Game not paused:

If i run the game in Virtual pc the animation get to fast and every Bow in the game become an uzi.

should also be noted that running stuff in a virtual machine will reinterpret the videocard calls and the fault might be there
try browse the vogon forums for other user experiences

Good game.

Just disconnect your graphic card that might work and use onboard graphics.

Why don't you use that patch and then press F12, the game will crash on you. And I have both uk and us version, tested that patch for both of them and still cant press F12. After the oracle the game bring up the info screen because you are suppose to click the map and that is like pressing F12 so the game crash.

I know of the oracle save but that is a way around it and I want a fix for it and that save don't work for the us version.

I know what is needed now:

In the demo then you press Esc you get this

This is how it look in retail

If I can get Pause (as seen in first post) to act like then I press Esc in retail then crash might go away. And i looked it is all in the exe file. So if someone here is good at hex editing or what ever now is needed to do this, plz do help. I have spore discount (from buying creature creator) and Half-life 2 and Ep1 on steam to offer in return.

To test if it works you can use the demo:
