I just got my hands on a copy from Gamestop and the comparisons are as follows :
the PARANOiD release is byte for byte the same as retail. Retail is infact DVD5 for any still wondering.

im on these missions on the mountains. now cesar and cjs sis came there. they say smoke is dealin with yayo and i need to look on the highway to san fierro for it. but where exactly is that?san fierro aint big, and im drivin around and nothing happens. there isnt even a red point on the card. someone can help me?

Just forget about that now, go to the crazy girl instead that wants to rob stuff.
The smoke thing will come back later and then the red dot will be there for you to follow (it will move since it's a car).

then use the airport, it onyl costs 500 bucks and you can skip the flying sequence,
or do all of the mike toreno missions to get the hydra, it only takes a couple of minutes across the whole map with it.

For those of you having missing textures issues. I found I was having this too. I burned 3 times onto Datasafe and Ritek G04 dye DVD-R's and each time kept getting "read error" during play and loads of missing textures.
So I got hold of a Sony DVD-R (2x) and I burned it onto that. Works great now! So looks like it performs better on certain media!

You can start a gangwar when your map have huge pink squares. Green squares are your own turf. You will get to a mission later on which will describe the whole gangwar thing for you.

thanks for the answer .. i'm way behind you lot ,i have not even got to the second city yet ... I keep getting sidetracked, lol ,and the ever annoying "can i have ago" from whoevers about is slowing my progress ... plus i suck a bit too .I'm so glad i bought a PS2 last month, knowing this game was due out made the decision very easy for me, there was no way i could wait a year knowing this was out

Finished the game, It was shorter than i thought. Kind of dissapointed that the story didn't continue...

Just wondering. What do you get when you collect/spraypaint the stuff? I spray painted over 10 things and I still didn't get anything yet.
Oh yeah does anyone here think that they made the aiming worse?

Hell no. The aiming rocks compared to GTA 3 and Vice City. At least with this one you can get headshots without having to manually aim, and can change targets too.

You can also get a VGA adapter, you plug your PS2 into it and then plug your monitor into the adapter, they generally run less than a TV card too, somewhere between $30 and $70. www.vdigi.com sells the one that I got, works beautifully with all 3 of my systems and cost $56.

guess i'm still in the beginning... did all of sweet's mission, ryder's and big smoke, but im now stuck at og loc dance shit, not good with a joystick, i'm use to keyboard and mouse... my question is, is there a way to make good money cause i have now like 1500$ i made by killing ppl and stealing there money....
