eerh...twice the size??
cant you multiply 56 with 50?
its the same size, maybe bigger for a few MB only cuz the game features text in different languages.

UghUgh: resolution is the same no matter if pal or ntsc, pal standard for games is 50 Hz with 16:9 screen (not realy 16:9, this one has the screen squashed vertically), but most of the new pal releases also feature a 60 Hz mode in 4:3 like their ntsc counterparts.

Does it worth getting the Pal version when you already have the NTCS version for those people who lives in Europe.

Not really. If NTSC is working ok on your tv then I'd stick with that.

Man use the existing thread. No need to make one thread for each format.

Aspect ratio might be the same, but PAL has 625 lines per frame at 25fps, NTSC has 525 lines per frame at 30fps. The res difference is why people may get black borders or cut off on their games when playing different region games to what their TV was made for.

In Fact, in Europe there's something called PAL 60hz. So 30fps...

Does this version have things cut down so it passes through the censors like the australian version is going to be?

No because this thread like the other is about each seperate release it would be to confusing having them merged

i wonder how game developers can claim to run some of their games at 60 fps on the PS2 and XBOX ? Its pointless as some of us seem to own rotating drums with a slots cut in the side rather than televisions on this board.

maybe it's only your TV?
if your TV supports both PAL & NTSC there is no difference in picture quality, almost...
PAL vers usually have black borders top & bottom, and some people could notice they run a bit slower than NTSC cuz of 50 fps. You must be very perceptive to see that Smile

50? u mean 30? lol
anyway, personally i find the difference between pal & ntsc pretty big..
my TV supports both, but having a PAL ps2 it looks a lot sharper running PAL games.. NTSC games look rather pixelated & hurts my eyes a little at first. But since hardly any1 gives a shit about PAL releases & those hardly spread out, i always grab the ntsc versions. too bad tho.

i'm sure the same goes for NTSC ps2's running PAL versions.

actually you dont need to be very perceptive to notice the difference between 50 Hz and 60 Hz, given the game itself runs fluidly with perfect 60 Hz, in a game like san andreas which only reaches 30 fps and mostly lies under that, its basically no difference.

That game can't work on a ntsc tv(north america).
Some have a idea how to fix a PAL to NTSC or to do something else.
