Getting new rims since my stock ones are finally dead. Mind the dirty car, it's been -30 and I don't feel like my doors being frozen shut, and it snows every other day so washing it would be a waste of money. Anywho. I have two different sets I'm after mainly these first ones. Also if your bored, you can lower the car a lil bit since I'll be doing that this summer. A huge thanks to anyone who attempts.

First set I'm after:

2nd set:

Pics of my car (I tried to find as many angles as I could, if you need more let me know):

nuuuu lol, those are just the different angles I was providing if needed. Whichever one works best. If you can manage em on the clean car ones it'd be super but whatever works, not like I have the skills to do this so whatever is appreciated.

Oh Snap! Pimpin out the ride I see. I've done my fair share of wheel/lowering chops but I'm sure Jenni as well as the other forum members are wizards with photoshop.

How much are those wheels? They are 17's right? If you live in an area with horrible roads I hope those wheels are forged and not cast LoL. Laughing

403 shipped with a 1 year warranty, and their 16's. I was going to do 17" but due to some recent event's I had to buy a few new 16" tires and I'm not gunna buy another 4 tires lol. They'll look fine when it gets lowered a bit to fill up the wheel wells.

I'm not sure if their forged or not.

I talked to the manager at Discount Tire and he's going to look for a way to get them for me cheaper and buy them from THEM and not wheel max. Discount Tire has given my the best customer service of anything I've witnessed so I'd feel better buying from them than wheelmax which is an online only store.

oh man, this makes me want to buy new rims Surprised

I have to buy new tires anyways, and even though I'm only driving a little chevy hatchback, new rims would look sweet!

even 16" would be an upgrade from the 14" that are on it now! Razz

What would be easier is to lower the car and put it on a fresh background. But thats quite hard too. I mean I'm no expert but I could probably do it.

Not saying anythings wrong with those wheels, but you get what you pay for with Rims. There is a huge quality difference in no name cast wheels and forged 2-3 piece wheels like Volks or BBS. And it's not only that, they are much lighter then factory wheels, less rotating mass = more performance.

I had these on my WRX:

http://err0neous.org/mbz/oz_superleggera_1000.jpg

OZ superleggera's, they weight around 17 pounds and are forged. My bro has a set or Ray's G-Games on his 350Z that are only sold in Japan, those things are worth more then peoples cars.

Are you dead set on that specific wheel? Anything would be an upgrade over those dull factory wheels and I'm guessing once you get those 16's on and lower it you'll think they are too small. Most cars come factory with 17's now anyway.

Are American Racing any good? My sister works for a call center that sells them, apparently I can "get a deal".

keep in mind, this is the shitbox I'm upgrading. Oh, and I paid extra for these fucking shitty ass rims that probably cost way more than real rims. I really hate them now, and because I need new tires I don't want to buy another set of 14"s I'd have to get new rims anyways ...

by no means do I want to rice it up, just this looks a little better (just the wheels, the colour makes me want to puke Wink)...

oh, and I know it's not the best car but it's what I drive and what I will have for the next couple of years (lease is up end of '08 but it has such low KMs that I'm keeping it) Razz

LoL, nothing wrong with that car, I have no idea what it is but looks like a perfectly fine form of trasportation. Laughing

American Racing are ok like _SiN_ said, sorta like the middle ground wheel. They are better then getting some random Korean set of wheels made in someone hot-tub. I am only stressing forged wheels over cheaper cast ones because of the Roads here, Cast wheels are nowhere near as strong as forged ones so as a result you'll get bends easily over potholes if hit at the right angle. (But that depends on so much shit, side wall profile, size, etc.)

And _SiN_ , i'll try to grab those pics, my bros a member of 350Z-Tech and My350Z so his pics are all over the show rooms of those forums.

You try Tirerack? They let you test the wheels out on your specific car with their little flash graphics thing. Nukka what wheels as in 24' chrome spinners? DISGUSTING!

Check out tirerack, i'm sure you'll find something you'll like on there.

Because 5 spoke rims are out and have been out for a while. Notice most auto manufacturers factory wheel designs have a spoke'y flare. STi's, Evo's, S2000 (Non CR) even cars like the IS250/350.

Most tuners avoid 5 spoke wheels with big gaps UNLESS they have a big brake kit or slotted or drilled rotors to show off UNDER the wheels. When you put big rims on a car have have tiny 8' rotors it's embarassing.
