May be they have strict rules of behaviour in traffic incidents in hostile territories, that doesn't include waiting for traffic police to come.
They saw the driver is OK, and they left. It could have easily been a trap or may be they were on important mission.

Isn't it true that US news stations don't show the shit that's happening in Iraq because they don't want to "offend" dead soldiers' families? I've heard this from multiple sources... IMO, this shit is much more insult then to show some retards like this.

Yeah..I'm sure it would have been better to jump out and talk to a man who most probably doesn't even know English (not everyone is translators), on a high risk road, when they just smashed his car. Do you see how they stand still for a while, thats probably them talking to their superior asking for orders after the accident. They most probably got strict orders to not stop for shit like that. It's not like they did it on purpose, they are in a war-zone, they can just stroll along like you all can on a open street.
Calling out them as stupid rednecks and wish death upon them is just fucking retarded, but what can you expect from some. Go masturbate and let some of that steam out, you seem to have issues with Americans, did someone deny you Coca-cola as a child or what.

Maybe they were on a time critical mission. Maybe they were in a hostile zone. Maybe they had already gotten orders on how to handle these incidents. It's easy to make an assumption after watching just one side of the story. Most people would actually bother looking into the incident if they wanted to form a clear opinion. Yeah Leo, for the most part all of these occurances/issues are swept away from the Publics eye. But occasionally the Media will blow it up for a short period of time after which is dissapears and re-emerges. It's not documented as well as it is OUTSIDE the US that's for sure. But that's the funny part about it, most of the USA's inhabitants are oblivious to this stuff, and even if they weren't there nothing to be done about it.
As for right now, anything involving Iraq is nowhere to be seen on all the big networks in the US due to the elections. As well as Gas prices doing the limbo downward almost 30 cents in a matter of 1 1/2 weeks. Assholes.

But it is, there exists an extremely negative atmosphere on this forum toward America. It just happens that the lime light is shining on us right now so I can't really blame anyone for bashing (To a certain extent) But at the same time those bashers are pretty ignorant for targeting ONE of hundreds of these kinds of cases that have occured in our life time throughout the world.
America just happens to be an easy target to ridicule sitting in your computer chair OUTSIDE this country.

Same shit happens here, idiot Israeli soldiers do crazy horrid shit, nothing of is shown in Israeli news (I watch Bulgarian news too, where they show everything). Whenever a story of something horrible explodes here, the army suddenly starts upholding some dignity and norms, the soldiers are punished and shit stops for a while (then restarts, until the next big incident). Now if news stations, and I mean for both our and US', were to constantly show the shit that's going in our respective shame zones (like the so many documented events of reckless driving, as depicted in the above video), things would have been different. |

Yup that's true. I'm sure that when these kind of reports get out the Soldiers start behaving like humans to prevent potentially being caught on film in the act. And I'm sure the same echoes through the military community, they don't want to embarass themselves as a whole the way these individual instances do. They've cleaned up some what since it first started but that's partly because less of it is getting out for everyone to witness/hear.
But I was referring to the average Joe in the US. We can watch all of this on TV but there isn't shit we can do. Am I suppose to protest in front of the White House? Nah, all that occurs is a nod in disgust.

Oh don't worry, wouldn't have been in a combat position anyway, so I just decided not to waste time.
At the time I was really angry at the army, so it was a nobrainer for me. I did a project for חי"א for a year and a half (prior to my supposed enlisting date), and they backstabbed me in the last moment. So it was either waste 4.5+ years doing shit, or getting my degree and finding a worthwhile job. I chose the logical choice.
