|
 |
Ive searched for a decent media viewer for my mate (who is not really computer savvy) Now he wants something that will play all vids, view pics and play music.
Of course theres loads out there but i dont trust the reviews any companies quote. So though i'd ask you guys to name a good one you yourselves have used..
Must be easy to use and setup.. must play all vids, music, pics (well most if not all) and work on Vista..
Any suggestions? cheers
(personally i like Ashampoo software but he does not want that)

Usually everyone settles with a general concensus. Looks like the votes are all over the place!
Which one is it!?

Unless you choose to go for MCE, you'd be better off getting 2 separate programs. One for audio and video and another for images. Best situation would be to get one each for audio, video and images but since it's a computer noobling the fewer the better. Apps that pretend to play all three equally good fail quite badly and are often a bloated patch-work of two or more programs.
Audio + video - MPC (plays most files without having to bother with codecs)
Images - Irfanview (as basic or advanced as the user wants it to be)
If you really want an app to play all three then you could try Zoom Player.

KMP can do slideshows, play any videos and music without a problem, so it's best to try it out
here is a link to latest stable version
