No detailed info yet except that it will be a SEQUEL to the Casion Royal events.

And here's some (most important) trivia picks from IMDB:

Will Bond 22 be the sequel to Casino Royale?

Producer Barbara Broccoli confirmed that Bond 22 will be a continuation of Casino Royale with Daniel Craig hinting that the events of Casino Royale would lead James Bond to "go out for revenge".

How does "Bond 22" fit into the continuity of the rest of the Bond films?

The producers and writers of Bond 22 have stated that the action of the film picks up "2 minutes after the close of Casino Royale". They have also said it will be a continuation of the story established in Casino Royale. In this way it can be regarded as a true sequel to Royale...and thus, like that film, is separate in continuity to any of the previous Bond films to come before.

Will Bond 22 be an original story?

Casino Royale was the last of the James Bond novels written by Ian Fleming to be adapted as part of the official film series. Producer Barbara Broccoli confirmed that future instalments of the James Bond franchise will not be remakes, which suggests that Bond 22 will be an original story.

Who will be the antagonist in Bond 22?

Daniel Craig has stated that James Bond's target will be "the threat behind the threat"; however, when pressed as to whether the antagonist will involve SPECTRE, Daniel Craig refused to comment. It is, however, very unlikely that SPECTRE will be involved, due to Eon's loss of the legal rights to use SPECTRE. Nevertheless, according to Max von Syndow, Amalric's coworker, he will be playing Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Although Sony owned the rights to SPECTRE, they also now own the Bond franchise and could therefore logically and legally bring back the character of Blofeld and SPECTRE.

Would there be a video game adaptation for this film?

In May 2006 Activision acquired non-exclusive rights to develop and publish James Bond games; an exclusive deal with Activision takes effect in September 2007. During an earnings report, Bobby Kotick, the CEO of Activision, announced that their first Bond game would be released in May 2008. However, it may be delayed to November 2008 to serve as a tie-in for the film.

the new bond really impressed me... i mean after seeing craig in layer cake, i always expected he'd do well at bond, despite all the naysayers, and it was good to see he really did pull it off brilliantly... brosnan started off great, but quickly went to rubbish... craigs start was even better than brosnan, lets just hope he and the producers can keep it going strong rather than just pumping out 3 or 4 shit films...

i hope they use the same director again, or someone equally as talented... not just go for some unknown wanting to cut his teeth on a well known franchise

only complaint about the first film is that id have liked a few cool gadgets... oh and PLEASE lets use the car next time Sad atleast one little pop-out machine gun fire? not just lets get in the car so we can flip and crash it Laughing - also i wouldnt say no to a bit more action, but i definately dont want it to go the dumb action route that shitfest die another day did.. ugh.. but whats what u get if your going to hire a transvestite to direct it i guess...

the new bond chick is pretty boring... i mean yeah its all there, tits, not too old, good shape, and im sure she'll be suitably (un)dressed, but shes just a barbie clone, nothing more... all tits no personality basically, so meh Wink

Im the opposite. I think Pierce Brosnan was a good bond. He looked more like a suave, english dude.

The new guy is just, I dunno. I dont like him at all. I thought Casino Royale was shit. Fell asleep to it like 3 times.

Sean Connery and Roger Moore were the best tho imo

Yeah the violence actually feels real, or alot closer to real then the comic shit seen in brosnan's later Bonds.

The first 20 bonds were fun but cheesy and kiddish (i mean, cmon we all watched them @ age 6-7 and up), the new one is realistic like Bourne and stylish. You can't compare 'em after all.

You want worst bond ever? It's Timothy Dalton )

For me he was -as an actor- the best after Connery. Razz
And he played a darker and more realistic bond, closer to the portray made by Fleming. Underrated imho.

I don't consider the last Bond film Bond at all. Only in name. It wasn't shit, it just didn't feel like a Bond film. More of a thriller.
No gadgets, none. That makes Bond.

I for one am glad that it lost its ancient style, and finally grew up to become a tougher, more realistic Bond.

Totally agree. Thats the substance of Bond. Womanising, gadget using, always having the upperhand even when the odds are stacked against him.

Having the same characters around him. Q, M, MoneyPenny, plus the rest. Without all that he's just another generic hero. Not Bond at all.
