Players will take control of anti-hero Alex Mercer, who wakes up in a mysterious laboratory as an experiment with no memory of his past. The world of Prototype is engulfed in a three-way conflict between the military, a mutated viral epidemic, and Mercer -- who has become a weapon in his own right. The whole game is built around the idea of "weaponizing" yourself. Mercer can absorb his enemies, taking on their memories, appearance, and abilities. While I like the idea, im a bit hesitant on how good it will be, radical hasn't exactly made a lot of good titles. But they HAVE been around forever.

Definitely sounds interesting and I loved Hulk Ultimate Destruction.

So they took the abilities of the agents in The Matrix and crossed it with the ability to get abilities from the humans and made up a story around that, very original, almost genre defining and breathtaking at the same time.
And it's slated for a december 2008 date?, gonna be a great game I'm sure of it.

From now on im always sceptical to hyped games. Its getting worse every year it seems like. More gfx, less good gameplay. Well, it looks nice at least.

I find better looking games are actually worth playing. If the people making the game put so much effort into graphics, they probably did with the game play as well
Still, i dont know much about that stuff

That video is from an alpha build of the game, it was released ages ago someone just re-posted it. I'm sure the traffic will be more diverse in the final product. It's a shame the player didn't seem to know what he was doing though.
But to be honest who cares, look at the amount of traffic and pedestrians on screen at once, it's far superior to GTA4. A worthwhile trade off in my opinion.

the textures look boring, there are pop-ups a plenty and the concept of it doesn't enthrall me. I doubt this will be anywhere near the quality of GTA4, but hey, i'd like to be proven wrong.
