Bought a Geforce 8800GT 512MB graphics card along with a quad core 2.4ghz a motherboard and a 750w powersupply.

now i have a problem of the 8800GT not sending a signal to the monitor, if i plug in my old radeon x850 it work fine, ive tried upgrading the bios on the mother board but no luck :/.

im thinking its a motherboard compatibility issue (which i hope its not)

has anyone else experience and problems like this?

Did it ever work with the new rig?, or is this something that just happened, I mean did it just die on you.
And could you post your exact specs, Mobo etc please.

You tried both DVI ports, really tried to see wich one is the primary one?

Made SURE that the PCI-e power connector to the card is REALLY fastened?

Well I don't see any compatibility issues in that line up. That mobo is a tad old, the launch date is was back in 2005...could it be that it dont have PCI Express 2.0?...as the 8800 is exactly that. Not 100% sure if that matters...maybe it does

EDIT:

Should be 100% ok acording to these guys...so the prob is not the mobo i guess.

Haha, that's crazy. Was it giving you out of range errors?

If so the registry was fucked and setting a res that you couldn't see, which you can adjust in safe mode? If you guys need I can find the key again for it...
