It's available on 360 too. I already have it pre-ordered to pick up on monday.

Whats available on the 360?
The entire kit (drums, mic, guitar) says it wont ship till December 11th...?

if I could get it Monday, I would definitely buy it... but I'm not seeing that.

Well, you're right. it does say 11/20/07 on the Best buy site. But on EB World, Amazon .com, they all say December 11th.

Wonder what the real release date is...

Looks like the real release date is the 20th. The reason some sites are listing December 11th is because they ran out of pre-order stock.

Some Best Buys are having a midnight sale here on Monday and people are camping out for it. My local Best Buy says they will have some in on Tuesday so i will go there and try and get one. Doesnt look like anyone is camping out here for it at the moment.

Yep. U.S. is going down the tubes.

I make quite good living here, so i am going to enjoy it while I am able.

Luckily, Im invested in both foreign and domestic stocks. Plus, all of the monetary value stuff works in cycles anyway. it will bounce back eventually.

Yeah, they are sold out at all of the local gamestops around here, so that's why it says dec 11th. It comes out this Tuesday for both 360 and PS3. I pre-ordered mine so I'm getting it then. I'm sure you could probably go to a walmart or somewhere similar and get one there, just go early so they don't sell out. I played the drums at best buy and they are badass. I can't wait to get it and bring it to thanksgiving with the fam.

Yeah. I'll hit Best Buy, Circuit City, and Walmart in hopes of snagging one Tuesday.

i beat the game on easy and medium and im really not impressed, the game is boring and not challenging. I know you will say "play on hard if you want challenge" but it doesnt change the fact that GH2 and GH3 were quite challenging and even really frustrating at best on medium. The thing you do most in the songs is the massive picking with those 20 same notes in a row that will make you wrist hurt for days. The interface is basicly the same as GH so you wont be lost if you massively played GH.

You have to go through all songs from the tier before going to the next one, not like GH where you had to play 4/5 or 3/4 songs. Bonus tracks can be unlock after playing one. They do not unlock in tier like GH, they appear under the track list

The track list is kind of good but not as good as Guitar Hero track list. There might be 4 songs in Rock band that i said "oh yeah, i love that song" and went to do it right away. A lot of songs in RB, i didnt even heard them before. Going to RB track list is like going through GH3 unlockable songs list...like what the hell is this song.

Maybe my opinion on the game will change when i'll get the drum kit and enjoy this game with my friends but as for now i'll give it a 6.5/10

It's definitely more of a multiplayer game. I'm not impressed with the tracklist and have almost beaten it on Expert. It's definitely way easier than GH3(I haven't even come close to failing a song yet, and have 5 starred most of them by sight reading). But in GH3, you have to beat every song in a tier before you can move on, so I don't know where you're pulling some of your information from.

Another great part about RB is the custom character creator. The game itself is just alot more polished then the rubbish that Neversoft put out for GH3. Rockband actually brings new things to the genre, which is where I think it shines. I don't think it's fair you're giving the game a 6.5 based on playing 1/4th of the game(you played guitar). I'm personally looking forward to the drums since I'm a drummer irl.

You need to play All songs on hard and expert to move on, not easy and medium. And i said that my opinion might change after fully enjoying the game with all the instruments

I have to agree with Kommando here for the most part, the game is good, but something just seems lacking. Granted, this is rather conditional, as I have not played any part other than the guitar parts, but they are lacking something that GH3/GH2 had...but when I play the rest of it, and with friends, I can give a better impression. But yes, the tracklist is sorely lacking in comparison to any of the previous rhythm games...

I agree with Legend about the track list... very boring as far as I am concerned, except for the Clash and the Ramones! LOL... and it just doesnt seem as fun as GH3 when it comes to the guitar tracks.. But I will have a beeter feeling once I get my hands on the drum kit

I think the tracks are way more fun in RB than GH3, albeit easier. I think the tracks in GH3 are pretty frustrating and just not fun, save a few. I think neversoft went out of their way to make the game annoying.

I can definitely agree with some of the tracks being annoying in GH3, but overall, I think it will prove to be the better guitar experience. As an entire package however, I have little doubt that rock band will prove the better of the two. And replay value wise, you can't go wrong with rock band considering all the different instruments and 4 difficulty levels each.

My friend have a real electric drum (USB) and i was wondering if the drum would work with RB. The drum send MIDI signal so i have no idea if the X360 or the game will recognize that signal

I'm a bit disappointed as well with the song selection, but I'm hoping that someone can figure out how to make custom tracks such as the SL-X modified Guitar Hero 2 releases.

The drums are fun though.

Nope. You need Drummania (PS) for that.

Yeah the drums are fun.
I get confused on it though, because on a real kit... I know where the snare and high hat are... on those pads, it is confusing. I am sure I will get the hang of it though.

The singing is pretty kick ass too. I was really suprised at how well it works.

You should preorder extra set just in case. Since i bought the game, i went through 3 guitars, 2 drum sets, and 3 drum pedals. The game is good, especially the drum part, but the hardware is piss poor.

Already have the steel plate, or rather two, one on each side. Have not seen the pad replacements, let us know how good are they.

Also, if your guitar ever break check out this guide on how to fix it. http://blog.wired.com/games/2007/11/how-to-fix-your.html
Basically you need to straighten out the contacts, and in my case make a bigger spacer.
