kinda neat, might make reading those e-books a little easier although the $400 price tag is pretty damn steep. I wonder if you can read anything on it, or only content you download on it?

I meant can you use it to read any document and not just amazon supplied content Wink

and the answer is yes Wink

Quote:
In addition, the Kindle can venture out on the Web itself--to look up things in Wikipedia, search via Google or follow links from blogs and other Web pages. You can jot down a gloss on the page of the book you're reading, or capture passages with an electronic version of a highlight pen. And if you or a friend sends a word document or PDF file to your private Kindle e-mail address, it appears in your Kindle library, just as a book does

yeah, there are other readers, although the free EVDO access is a big bonus.

Still, I'd never pay $400, if I'm going to read a book I prefer the old fashioned variety I can keep stuffed in my bag without worrying about damaging it Razz

I would never buy it for £200, although the concept is appealing.

Personally I think you can't beat good old fashioned paper for books.

Syn you do realise that EVDO isn't available in the UK.
