This has potential of being a really fun thread. heres the rules:
- name an invention you think is pointless, stupid or retarded

To start:
Personally i think Xbox 360 play & charge kit is the dumbest item ive seen lately. Reason is because.. the controller is for wireless use, so buying a kit to charge it while you use it makes it become wired therefore defeating the object of being wireless in the first place. No I love chop sticks. I think it was really smart. Chop sticks help you with your proportions of food because you take smaller bits so your brain can catch up and tell you when your stomach is full faster. Plus I use them as tongs while cooking.
I love the bidet. Take a shit and clean you ass good. Pretty good invention if you ask me. Exp good if you have hemmorriods. It just takes up a lot of room in the bathroom. Got to stick with the japanese invention "all in one toilet" bidet.

IPOD and Steam
I disrespect any device or program that needs 3rd party shit in order to use it.
IPOD - You have to install that shitty itunes bullshit that's bloated to all hell. My samsung only needs windows media player to be able to sync and windows just reads it directly as a flash drive.
Steam - Ok idea for MP but I shouldn't need a 3rd party app to play a single player game unless it's dos box

Your missing the goal of the play & charge kit. A lot of people like their wireless controllers, but what happens in a middle of a game when your batteries start waving the white flag. Most controllers you'd need to take the batteries out to charge or throw away and go find a a spare set. What the kit does is you just plug it in and it charges while you continue your game till it charges then you can just uninstal it.

The rice is different there. It's more... what's the word... condensed? It's sticky and forms blocks you can take with the chopsticks easily.
But the most ingenious thing about them is the speed at which you throw in the food. It is considered extremely unhealthy to eat fast not chewing properly and as chopsticks are harder to manipulate than a fork, you are forced to eat slower and chew better while fishing for the next piece.
