Gothic II for me... the way i measure how the great games are seperated from the good games is the 'addiction' point.. like for Gothic II once i got into the city i couldnt stop playing at all...

Ultima Underworld II or perhaps Gothic 1, dont know why but i never finished Gothic2, didnt keep the interest up i guess.. it was good but Gothic1 was better imo.

I've been thinking about it for awhile...
I'm gonna' have to go with Chrono Trigger.
Followed very closely by Final Fantasy 3(US).
But yah, for me, CT takes the cake. Best. Game. Ever.

quake 2 (pc)
fighters megamix (saturn)
half life (pc)
final fantasy 7 and 10 (ps1 / ps2)

Baldur's Gate 1 and Planscape: Torment. These are definately the best games I have ever played. Even better than the Last Ninja trilogy was on good old C64 ...
