Ok... I've got my money ready for Witcher and if it is at least medicore I will buy it. In PLN (polisih currency) it will cost around 30$, so price is reasonable. Hell I will support my "country project". I was most afraid of user interface, but from first users reviews after a while it is easy to play. Thou isometric view with AWSD is not very comfortable.

I use WSAD and it seems fine. The combat reminds me of "Summoner" if anyone has played that, but a bit more fun when you get to execute someone while they're stunned or knocked down. (Click once, click when cursor turns yellow, chain combat)
Looks nice, runs great, plays well, game of the year? No. But a very nice RPG, haven't seen one in a while. I haven't really gotten outside yet, still doing the hand-holding first couple of quests, got class in a few.
Click spoiler for pic.

How do you know it's not game of the year and a very nice RPG when you've only played it for such a short amount of time? :-)

And keep in mind that most RPG's use the first few levels as a big tutorial, that's also the case with the Witcher.

yup.
I mean, you can judge a normal shooter pretty well after only playing for half an hour or something because usually not much changes over the course of the game. you get some new weapons maybe and fight different enemies but that's it.
in RPGs though you really gotta play many hours to be able to judge it properly.
The story evolves and unveils itself only later in the game usually, as do many gameplay aspects connected to new abilities that you gain, and in the case of the witcher there's also the decision making that comes into play there only later.
the witcher does look pretty cool though. can't wait to play it when I get home from work.

WTF all english versions are cut?
Hell i didn't even know that there is nudity in the game, but now that i know it i feel like missing something, like with any cut game or movie.
Sucks hard, hope nobody will buy the cut shit.

I'm just trying to make people talk about the game and not about where and how to download, and at what speed they're downloading what release from where, before the mods come over and start deleting some pages again.
So is the platin release uncensored or not? can anyone who has it confirm that?
Also, how's the performance? Anyone feel like posting his specs with performance?
Wondering if it'll run properly on my 7900gtx.

lol
nurse? omg.
anyway.. it's great to get an RPG targeted at more mature gamers for once.
developers/publishers are usually too afraid to put things like nudity and swearing in a game eventhough it's in movies all the damn time.

btw dont expect hot naked scenes - its simply cutscenes where you see couple that fall in bed kissing nothing more than in average movie.
