BTW what should i do after killing 3 Blood Zombies, i still have that encoded thing & no quests no quest marks over npc's.

Loved the game. Looks great on Dx9 & 10. Very nicely optimised, 8800GTX, 1600-1200, all max, no lag at any point. Love the 3d Diablo-ish loot system, love all the UI. Skills are pretty muhc useless but very interesting. The Game is (Thank God) NOT overcomplicated like most MMO's of today.

This is a great game, and I think people don't like it becuase they expected something else. I think most of you tought of it as an action adventure, and not a real pure old-school RPG game.

Personally I love it. It combines few of my favourite things, sci-fi weapons and environments, RPG elements, ie. loot, experience, skills, levels, mix of FPS that makes this game so much more fun than other hotbar mashing RPGs.

And I like that it is pretty linear. Recently open-ended games have trouble making their story stick as you have a choice what to do and when to do it, and it's hard to predict all of possible outcomes(Oblivion, for example, where the invasion takes place as long as you like, if you don't take the quest). I prefer it this way because a good storyline is sometimes the most enjoyable aspect of a game.

And those who are now saying "I don't like this, I'm gonna wait for witcher". Well duh, if you like witcher type rpgs, why the hell did you even try this game. They're on totally oposite sides of the RPG genre. Like comparing Titan Quest to Oblivion.

here are my thoughts on the demo, quite a negative in some perspectives
:
starting from the end: it would be nice if actually there was a message: "that's the end of the demo- you can now walk aimlessly around without wondering if there's something more"

no voice acting on the npc-s, only some random grumble. A solid(or any) voice acting could bring a lot to the overall atmosphere....

the overall atmosphere... i like the ruined streets and so, but i do a bit dislike some of the strange random gened guardsmen in the stataion.. with hairs and colors like in some jap anime... It's like a circus in a ruined town Smile

the firearms recoil it's another thing.. No recoil no nothing, just some visual effects and sounds.. maybe the future weapons have none of it? I would enjoy more if there was ammo, right now you can just hold the fire button and go walking around, whistling..

the graphic side: everything maxed out on 8800gts 320, and the fps is not the top for me,COD 4/UT3 demo was quite better in this.. There are some visual glitches, but overall it's not that bad, maybe the enemy's models are a little messy..

despite all that and more i still wait for this to come out..

They Way i see it, it's a Vampire Masquarade + Serious Sam, mixed with Diablo style = Lotsa fun Thrash & Bash action-rpg. Hold mouse 1, let the gun shoot & just run around killing dead guys. 100% buy.

I dont say its bad. Its neat. The animations are stiff as mentioned before, the levels are kind of boring, the overall graphics are grey-in-grey-ish. Also when i hit with a sword and the enemy that was behind me dies, that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Also solo its far too easy.

I hope the full version is different, maybe it has voice acting and better textures, since the demo is only 1.4 gig.

I downloaded the demo just to see what the let down was...

I must say... the demo is SHIT.
This was a HUGE screw up by Flagship. They would have been better off waititng until after the release and given out a proper demo with cut scenes and stuff. . . and an ending. Whoever's idea this was needs to be fired.

Regardless, I have 2 copies preordered and plan to go founders sub with both.
World Of Warcraft was shit when it was released. Diablo II wasn't the game it was today when it was released. I like the guys behind the game and know what they are capable of... and I am jumping in with both feet to support it because I have seen what they have done from Alpha to beta. I like the premise of the game, and the multiplayer beta was fun for me.
Maybe they will release another demo... but damage is done now and they were stupid for doing this I must say.

Recall how easy Diablo II was in the first Act on normal difficulty?

And yes, the beta has voice acting and the release will have cutscenes + voice acting + a ton if shit the demo didn't show which is why the demo is so piss poor.
And they should have gave the ability to play all the classes.

The only voice acting i heard in Beta was like one sentence when you start talking to the npcs IIRC.

@djaoni When did I say that? But when you say "I don't like this, I'm gonna wait for witcher", it implies you're comparing the two.

Game works fine on x64. It not only works well but the beta downloads 64bit binaries and runs sweet on my 8800gtx sli setup. Running in dx10 SLI mode at 1680x1050. 70- 90fps.

I love the dx10 effects but maybe thats because I was dumb enough to shell out money for dx10 cards last year ...Razz

Ok i downgraded my NVIDIA drivers to 165.69 in Vista 32bit and still I have a black screen, so it isn't due to my GF8800GTS I guess.

Maybe this game isn't compatible with the ASUS P5K and some drivers I installed for audio chipset or something ? Sad This is the only game that won't work on my PC, quite a shame but it seems i'm not missing anything.

According to your sig you have 1 gig ram, and your using xp 64bit? Quite curious as to why as 64bit xp is only good for users with more RAM, and 64bit XP is still quite in compatable compared to 64bit vista or 32bit XP,
