So my brother and I buy Test Drive Unlimited... We play for about 2 to 3 months before the Patch release... Then I upgrade and now SecuRom wont let the game turn on... Just a spinning disk then off... I write in the UK Forum about the problem and get a Moderator shoving down my throat that its my firewall Outpost that is bothering the game and wont let it run properly... Well, first off I had the Firewall over 8 months before TDU was released and the game ran smooth before the Patch fucked it up totally, so thats a crock of shit... So after 5 weeks of waiting and getting no answers on "how" to get the damn game to run I post again asking for help and get Banned for asking...Reason for Banning was asking to many times... WTF ??? Spamming with over 2 weeks between posts... All along Ive Emailed SecuRom about this problem and threatened them about the game not turning on with a call to my lawyers office and they fixed the problem within 2 hours... I got a new EXE file but now theres a new Error... "Wrong Version" comes up... I cant LOG into the Server to play Online because its the "Wrong Version"... So now its gone another 4 weeks and still havent heard a damn thing... Now this pisses me off to no extent... After Patching the game and not being able to play for over 3 months all I have to say is To all the money hungry companies, especially Atari, Sony (SecuRom), you all can kiss my A$$... Enjoy and savor the flavor... Hmmm, ok I feel a little better... About the MOD that "banned" me on the UK Forum, he followed me to the US Forum and almost got his ass banned there for being a twat...So that MOD should goto a MOD(erator) school of Arts to become a more mellow fellow... Thanks for this part of the Forum Great place to VENT off anger...

i wish every devloper would just release a patch 3+ months after there game has been released taking out the stupid copy protection. we all know the majority of sales are in the first few months anyway

I still believe that releasing a game without that protection crap will revenue the publisher more. I mean, those that want to buy it will buy it and those that want to pirate it will pirate it, only the undecided are left. Take me, for example. I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy BioShock. When I read all the crap I made up my mind, I wasn't going to buy it. If, on the other hand, it had no protection crap, I'd have bought the collectors' edition. Well, heres the Post in the Forums... UK... http://forums.eu.atari.com/showthread.php?t=64024 Man buying games or programs isnt what it used to be, when the customer had the rights to use it... Now you only get to "lease" for a year then pay again, Im talking about companies like Symantec making you pay every year a subscription for a shity AntVirus and Firewall...
