I was thinking...
Every couple of days we get these newbies who are searching for torrents and warez, and, imho, they aren't contributing to the forum community. They register, find out that they can't download, and never show up again...
Just look at this example: Few weeks ago skid made a sticky about BioShock, ftp and torrent link. There were approximately 123000 ppl viewing that thread, even I checked out, thinking wtf?! Since when do we give any links for download?? It was a good way to tell that THERE IS NO DOWNLOAD ON NFORCE! But it could be solved much easier. From time to time I go at Actiontrip, to see what is going on down there. When you type their url on taskbar it shows: ActionTrip -- What we lack in quality, we make up for in stupidity. I suggest that we do the same – for example: NFOrce.nl :: Index – Where no downloads are possible... Or something like that. Feel free to suggest what you would want to be written, so that newbies see that there really is no torrents on this page. I hope that admins, and mods consider this, so we don't have bunch of ppl registering just to find torrents on this page. I really see no point in that.

This topic has been discussed over and over for years now, many useful suggestions were made. Only problem is that the admins never showed any particular interest, nor has any of the suggestions been realized. So i wouldn't bother with it.

Most of the "useful" suggestions aren't good enough.
We already have sticked threads with rules in every forum, and they work almost perfectly. 98 to 99% of all new users don't request. The last 1 to 2% can't be reached, not with a changed titlebar, not with stickies, not with an agreement they have to sign, not with a readonly membership for the first few days. Adding more obstacles only scares off the huge majority that doesn't request.
The thread skidrow made is several years old, and just gets a new title every few weeks, that's why it has such a high viewcount.

Oh, by the way, delete all users and close down the forum. That'll show them!

@poorleno: that should solve the problem
Well I thought that something like that might solve some problems with requesting, but never mind, thnx for the clearing up.
