Jesus fuckin christ.
Why are movies edited for content on tv. Not all movies even, just the really good ones. Wtf.
I am/was watching Braveheart on CBC and all the blood and guts is edited out. Seriously, wtf. There's no point in really watching it
I think movies should be left alone. It should be up to the parents of children to monitor what they watch. Why ruin the movie with censorship.

I've seen edits where they have some dumb ass actor replace curse words with "shoot" "son of a gun" and such, it's hilarious really. You have like the original actor say "son of a" then they cut to some idiot saying "gun." 
It happens only in the land of the free (US) and some parts of Europe.

Happens here in Canada too on some channels and depending on the time of the day
Chaps my ass off so much. I have like 10 or so channels that are movie channels where nothing is edited and this whole year braveheart has yet to come on so I can record it (on my dvr).
Yet its always on the edited american and canadian channels. |

Well, with HD all over the net now (and most movies already out in HD format already), I don't watch movies on TV anymore (we don't have HD channels here in IL). I just get what I want to watch form the net.

You dont have HD channels in IL? IL stand for Ireland right?
I thought the UK had HD services and such....hd pay per view etc
You can get any channel in HD in Canada, as long as you have a digital box |

Censorship guy! CENSORSHIP!  Cbc wont show blood  Or swearing or anythign rated R!
Watch showcase action at noon if you want blood, gore and swearing
CBC is for the public it comes out of our taxes so they can't piss people off hahaha

naw, Ive watched movies on CBC that were completely full of bad words and blood and stuff
Thats why it pissed me off that braveheart was edited. I already had it recorded on my dvr from another channel and it was edited. But i figured CBC wouldnt edit it.
And I never see it on the movie channels

not even on rod man. I check every fuckin week. I also check Mpix on Demand and its never on there either.
I guess I could download it but I think Im just going to buy the extended edition if it doesnt come on one of the movie channels sometime soon.
Im sick of watching the edited version
BTW, Braveheart is my favourite movie of all time  |
