im trying to get in the game, its says "can't find background image console/matriels/background01.vtf" and i cheched and i got it, i mean its not missing from the directory, please help me what should i do!!!
did a file monitoring and found out that hl2 is looking in the wrong directory for that file..
biniamin20, you probably copy/pasted the shortcut parameters from the nfo.html file, did you?
don't do this.. just retype the parameters manually.
the "-" (minus) in the nfo.html is not the same "-" as hl2.exe likes it as parameter. Compare the shortcuts, you have to look close
with the wrong "-", hl2.exe is unable to read the -game parameter.
