NO TALK ABOUT THE GAME, TECHNICAL ISSUES, YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE GAME OR YOUR MOM'S FOOT FUNGUS IN HERE

2K Games has identified a small percentage of Big Daddy figurines that have been damaged in transit to US and Canadian retailers. Since redemption will not be immediate as replacement figurines are currently beginning production, we will be also sending affected customers a complimentary special printed edition of the BioShock art book, "Breaking the Mold," to enjoy while the replacement figurines are produced and shipped. Additionally, 2K Games will cover all shipping costs for the figurines and art book.

Please note that this offer applies to U.S. and Canadian consumers only.

While were on the subject of big daddies, the figurines are hitting ebay now. Their going for as much as the damn game costs Neutral

I should probably thank Megastore.se and whatever shipping company they used since the statue was fully intact, must suck for other people in the EU whom got damaged figurines ranginf from the broken drill tips to heavily deformed helmet cover. (Some even had broken arms or worse based on posts on the official forums.)

EDIT: Some recent topic also mentioned using the perk system the forums use to get plush toys of the Big Daddy or even Little Sister instead of the statue. Razz
(Similar to Valve softwares headcrab toy or whatever it should be called.)

EDIT: Found the topic. Smile

I honestly don't mind a whole lot, I was just gunna super glue the tip back on. The way it's painted you wouldn't have noticed <3 But hey, I like that art book so having the actual book is pretty cool. Won't feel like I got fucked with the LE. No steel case, no cloth poster, broken big daddy, horrible shit sound track that isn't a sound track.

Wasn't there a vote about what the LE/CE should have included? they could probably have fit a poster or similar if they folded it a few times.
(Called collectors edition here, Limited edition is the regular version with a metal case but I think this differs depending on location and I know the US version has a different design.)

Interesting that you mention "No steel case" since it was included in the version I got.
(It does look a little different from earlier designs however but it's still metal albeit it looks worn and rusted instead of the golden design with a rapture logo they were going to use at first.)

Anyway it's nice of them to offer replacements for these figures even though it's currently limited to US/CA residents.) Smile

EDIT: The post below with the larger statue reminds me of something, PC Gamer had a contest where you could actually win such a thing.
(Paper cutout instead of metal though but still a pretty cool thing to have, also seems someone is making big daddies in metal and sells them on sites like E-Bay for quite a bit of cash.)

hehhe same.. figured fuck it and got the demo... just finished playing it, and i gotta say...ehhh... maybe the hype got too me, but the graphics werent as amazing as people kept telling... sorry but they really werent... the water effects were pretty though, and the game ran nice on my pc, everything turned up and it didnt drop below 70fps at 1152x864... and wow, the blood looked comical... overall, id stil play this game, the little bit of story that teh demo gave you seemed pretty interesting, so yeah i think id enjoy the game overall, but people saying that these are the greatest visuals ever are obviously part of the hype bandwagon... thats not to say the visuals arent really good, just not amazingly so

side-note, wtf was with that bit where you get locked in an area with the security shit enabled and you keep getting shot at... what do you need to do to progress? i just ran around like an asshole for 5 minutes and shot at everything until the door opened... *shrugs*

It would be real nice and fluffy like if we could keep at least one BS thread open as I really enjoy hearing about peoples experience with the game. Some dudes are just getting hot about certain aspects of the game and the banter getting interesting and then wham, bam, thank you, locked. It's really heart rendering, you know?

You know you can ask them to sell you it or make a donation to charity of their choice to get that if you want it Cpt.
That looks like a Game store. All the Game stores here have the purple livery.

BTW I've cleaned up the thread so keep on topic.
