LittleBigPlanet

I will be buying PS3 the day this game comes out. Seems like one of the very few games I could persuade my wife to play.

I don't see myself playing this, although I can understand the noise it generates!
What I would really really like, like I said in other threads, is an excuse to turn on my PS3, ie an actual good AAA game Razz

The title reminds me of Little Big Adventure (a classic PC game).

Yeah I remember that. I'm sure it was on the Amiga though. Could be wrong though.

Yup I am.
This game looks great. Might be worth getting a PS3 for it.

Another thread resurrection is in order. It's finally coming out at the end of October and I can hardly wait! There's a cute and funny trailer here showing a different environment to the one typically shown; http://www.gametrailers.com/player/38718.html

Stephen Fry is apparently involved in some sort of narration but after the announcement was made a while back I've not heard anything since? His narration made watching the children's program Pocoyo entertaining (Very Happy) so I think it'll be a neat touch if that's true.

I don't know about this game... This might be really fun, but I hope it's more than a sandbox game, because I quickly loose interest in those...

I can´t see this game failing.

It has already kind of won with it´s artistic value and the gameplay itself.

It invites the players own imagination and for challenging levels.

This is what I´m most envious about, not having a ps3.

You can download a PDF version of the manual directly from Sony europes website. Should be worth a read; http://fp.scea.com/Content/games/BCUS-98148/manual/manual.pdf

This game has nothing to do with Little Big Adventure, at least I think so, that was a weird game, very old and good one.

Btw: As far as i can see there is no coop in the beta.

Jetpack for the win Cool Cool

Edit: Ok there is Coop, you need to finish the singleplayer levels first.

After the demo my perception for this game changed for the better.
It can be interesting and it sure is a new concept.
I'll buy this one also, but probably not at midnight launch Razz

yeah the single player was good but the real meat is in coop...we had a bunch of 4 player online and local coop going and the amount of user generated content we got to see was mind boggling!!!

SCEE confirms LBP delay because of Qur'an link, no new date given
SCEE have issued a statement confirming that LittleBigPlanet has been delayed globally because one of the background music tracks licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Qur'an. The revised launch date is expected to be announced shortly. The game was meant to be released on October 24th.

SCEE statement:
During the review process prior to the release of LittleBigPlanet, it has been brought to our attention that one of the background music tracks licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Qur'an. We have taken immediate action to rectify this and we sincerely apologise for any offence that this may have caused.

I feel offened by "SACK" name, as it reminds me of a thing that takes part in sex!

Catholics are offended, because there are rectangular elements in the game and you can make cross with them!

Mikey Mouse feels offended, because the round parts are a spoof of his ears!

Jews are offended, because there is no David Star in the game!

Buddhists are offended, because buddha is not uber roxorz...

You can stop a release of any game with this kind of bullshit.
