This has been the work of the alliance of a lot of developers externally known as "C+D": Nem, joek, Fanjita, Chris, jim, psp250, ditlew, Skylark, Dark_AleX (Me), mathieulh, tyranid, adrahil and Booster.
The battery lets to downgrade any firmware version (including those that Sony releases in the future), and to unbrick bricked psp's (whatever bricked by software psp, not only the ones bricked by that retard of Serafin), in all current hardware. Of course, we cannot be sure about future hardware, but the Firmware Update game has finally come to the end for all current psp's.
Code:
USAGE
- Insert Memory Stick into the PSP
- Remove power cord and insert the JigKick Battery into the PSP.
- A menu appears when the PSP boots. Follow the onscreen information
and instructions.
NOTES AND RESTRICTIONS
- The firmware in the Memory Stick is not a full 1.50, but a minimal
subset. Therefore, not all applications (such as flashers, or
recovery apps) will load.
- Only Memory Stick Pro Duo are compatible. Memory Stick Duo
(e.g. 32MB sticks) are not supported.
- The IDStorage cannot be totally restored, as there is no known way
to regenerate it properly.
- It is strongly RECOMMENDED to make a flash dump of the PSP before
any downgrading operation.
- There might be a BSOD at the end of the downgrade. This is normal,
and happens on the standard downgraders.
- All hardware revisions known at this day are supported.
- This release contains no Sony-copyrighted material. All required
Sony data is generated from the v1.50 update files.

given that the psp isnt a native online piece of hardware, i cant wait to see how well THAT one goes down... id love to see sony try it.. it'd go down as the biggest cock-up by a corporation ever. even president bush'll look at it and go 'man.. atleast i didnt fuck up THAT bad...'
well on the one hand i dont think its completely bad... it depends on how much the guy is selling them for, because lets face it, in order for this thing to work you need an extra battery AND an extra psp, and not everyone has access too them, so its not THAT bad that someones offering them.... if I were going to do this, id atleast offer a percentage of money i make to the team, and i doubt the ppl on ebay have those kinds of morals, so meh i guess..

An extra PSP? I was under the impression you just needed an extra battery and at least a 256mb pro duo memory card?
Ok I see what you mean there but if I already got the battery converted then only the one psp is required ... the bricked one! People are selling preconverted batteries on ebay I think.
yes, the point i was making was that, while im against assholes making a profit from the hard work of OTHERS without atleast some part of the money going back to the developers, i dont think its COMPLETELY bad - many people with bricked psp's dont have access to other peoples psps to convert the battery, or even HAVE a spare battery.
in a perfect world, any batteries sold on ebay would have a part of the amount forwarded to the development crew... but that wont happen because ebay sellers are assholes.
