Good afternoon.
Monster Madness was released today on an CLONEDVDrelease, courtesy of JFKPC.
The game won't run on my computer, I mount with the latest DT, I use the latest YASU, and it still won't run.
It doenst give any error message, doesnt give nothing, just won't start. It's probably not the tecnhnical requirements.
My computer is as follows.
P4 2.8E @ 3.2GHz
GeForce XFX 6800GS AGP8x
2 x 512 MB DDR Kingston
120GB Maxtor HDD
Creative Live! 5.1 SB
And the rest isnt significative to the specs I guess.
Any help is appreciated, thank you very much.

Heh, thanks
Yeah I did, downloaded latest ForceWare Drivers, downloaded latest DirectX, the whole 9-yards.
I suspect of a faulty release. I don't know how you can be able to make a faulty CLONEDVD but yeah, whatever.
That and I also noticed that the Colin McRae Demo has some serious stability issues running in my machine, and often crashes.
I guess time starts to show on my 4-years old computer (except the 6800 thats about 1 and a half year old). Still, I don't believe Monster Madness isn't working because of my computer, I've heard of people with the same problem.
Thanks for replying |
I'll let you know if it works on mine in a few minutes

did you use the yasu that came with the game? Cause I installed it, use the provided yasu 1.2.7050 and it started right up.

ye can't get this shit to run.. error at startup.
Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

Don't install the patch, it starts detecting YASU.
But do as I said, create a shortcut, and add the commandline -RUNME
Worked for me.

so is there a way to change the resolution and controls if the MonsterLauncher.exe doesnt launch cause of the crash. (tried -runme with that exe too, but only worked for monstergame.exe).

"E:\Monster Madness\Binaries\MonsterLauncher.exe" config
Try adding "config".

I also noticed the stuttering every 2 seconds, makes the game pretty much unplayable.
I think this game was terribly coded for some reason. Anyone got any clue on what Vitality means by "Update your Runtime"?

Nope, unfortunately, still doesnt work.
I managed to open the game using the RUNME thingie, but it still stutters every 2 seconds.
It's a shame, the game looks really cool

It's probably not Net Framework. Visual Basic actually looked like it could work. I also tried to update the Java Runtime, but nothing.
I seriously don't get it. Oh well, it still doesnt explain how to fix the stutter... maybe accessing config would help, if I actually could do it, but someone in this thread said it still stuttered with every config. I applied the newest patch, the crack still works, and nothing, no improvement.
Damn this game to hell tbh.

Create folder SaveData in %GameFolder%\MonsterGame\SaveData
