Sorry to borrow your thread sTo0z, but I suppose my question would apply for you aswell. Hehe.
I've just flashed my 360 and i'm looking for games i've missed downloading/getting. I've got the following:
Gears of War, Dead Rising, Viva Pinata, Crackdown, Earth Defense Force, Tony Hawks Project 8, Ghost Recon 1 & 2, Las Vegas, Saints Row and Splinter Cell DA.
So now i'm wondering, any game i've missed that I should get?
I'm specifically looking for games with coop or atleast two player gameplay. But not a nescessity (unsure of spelling but can't be bothered to check it up).
I've checked some game sites and such, just wanted to hear from you guys/gals.
(By the way, i'm not new, i'm Yondaime, just forgot my password to the email Yondaime used so can't change the pass to it. I've been around since like, v2 of NFOrce, not that it matters much hehe.)

I also enjoy playing TDU, but it's much more fun playing it on live.

one ting about 360s, is the rather large design fault of the x-clamps, my 2 month old xbox started getting the 3 red lights of death, i was sooo annoyed, but xbox-scene to the rescue and the x-clamp replacement trick has had me playing my xbox with no trouble ever since.
i recommend the mod to anyone who starts receiving 3 rlod, so far i believe it has over a 90% success rate on the x-s forums.

Seems a bit far out. I'll stick with wrapping a towel round mine thanks. |
The towel is only a temporary fix. the x-clamp replacement is permanent (so far). Also, the towel trick WILL damage your motherboard even more, causing board warpage due to excessive heat. The problem is due to microsofts use of non-lead based solder on their gpu and the fact the x-clamps cause major stress on the board in the wrong directing, pulling the board from the gpu when the solder is hot resulting in a breakage of connection. All the towel trick does is reflow the solder.
If you have any experience with building PCs then the x-clamp replacement method is relatively easy.

Thanks for the tips, i'll try 'em!
I'm addicted to Viva Pinata now, in the beginning, it was rather boring, but not when i've got more tools, damn i'm hooked. Never thought i'd like this game.
Recommending it to anyone who hasn't tried it.

Anything can be done with the Hitachi drive ROM version: 0079FK?
All guides mentioned so far detail flashing a 0078FK drive...
Although when I google for it I don't see much info, and the info I do see is months old.

As far as I can tell you need to extract a key or something from the drive, in order to transfer it to the new drive...
And the problem with the new Hitcahi, you must desolder a piece off to even get to the key, which is not something the average user wants to be doing.

The Hitachi? No, the Samsung MS28 you have to desolder, or you can just use the bad flash method, much easier even though it requires a VIA SATA chipset.

That's one of the easiest ones to flash. You just have to get it into modeB. Easiest ones are either hotswap or SLAX. Then you can just flash it in Windows, supereasy.

Vista might or might not like your Hitachi drive. It freezes for a lot of people.
