Lame - Patch did not fix crashing for me. Ah well, game is really fun - just wish i didn't have to use my keyboard to play it.

mate why dont you buy a controller bcuz many good games are best played with one such as pes6,trackmania,geometry wars,tombraider,need4speed,vice city...etc,i'm using my wireless xbox360 controller & its great .
regarding the problem u hanivg with the game it might be a software conflict on ur pc that is causing it to crash.

We have released a new patch for the PC version of Virtua Tennis 3 - VT3 Version 1.01
INSTALLATION & SET UP
=========================
To use this patch, please copy the 'VT3.exe' executable into the game directory, simply replacing the current VT3.exe executable.
Remapping Controls
=========================
The game pad controls have been changed, to remap them as they were previously, please use the control panel from Windows.
Depth of Field
=========================
Depth of Field only works with Nvidia graphic cards. To disable this feature, please open the config.ini file and change the following value:
DEPTHOFFIELD = 0
1 is On, 0 is Off.
Change Log
=========================
- Fix crash on ATI hardware.
- Depth of field on nVidia Geforce 6+ hardware.
- Controller can be used to navigate the menu system.
- Better performance on multi-threaded processors.
- Fixed crashes caused by ALT-TAB.
- Prevented multiple copies of the game from running simultaneously.
- Various minor graphical glitches.

do not use the crack from razor, it has bugs, like crash in some modes.

well i tried to turn on the Depth of Field, but i dont have any config.ini, so i add this line to the VT3.INI file... DEPTHOFFIELD = 1, but i dont know if is working because i didnt notice anything different :/
im doing everything ok?! someone with nvidia card try this and then post here

added this line DEPTHOFFIELD = 0 in the end of VT3.ini
there is slight visual difference but nothing to brag about

Tried it with both 1 and 0, nothing actually changed something.
EDIT: Oh. It is there. I'm just used to it being overly used like in FIFA. It's applied at a really low grade so it's quite unnoticeable. 7600GT here, no slowdowns whatsoever.

GCW's MaxSound's crack isn't working, and yeah depth of field isn't noticeable either.

Why isn't it working? I haven't really tested lots other than trying a few exhibitions while testing DoF, so any info on why to avoid it?

Are you using MaxSound's crack? When I double-click on it nothing happens, so I gotta use Razor's for now even though it crashes if I use my customized player.

LOGiX yeah you win but it took you 11 years hehe. New patch fixed my crashing all but once and never during a match or between rounds so Im good. Beat it already it gets better when you level your guy or girl up but still liked TP2 better I think.

Try the multiplayer.. that's where the game shines.
By the way, I haven't beaten Duke/King yet and can't possibly imagine how you can say that match is easy. Seems almost impossible to me..

Too short life? Too few games played, maybe?
Either way, huge overstatement for a game like Virtua Tennis. And anyway, get some friends over! Nothing beats a match-up with your friends.
