Can you play on the internet since I think it uses Gamespy??? or will you have to buy it to do that?

it's gamespy`? Official site says it featuers online matchmaking and leaderboards so it can't be gamespy, can it?
must be some online platform ala battlenet

It's GameSpy but it's some kind of advanced lobby. You need a cd-key to play online.

Yeah it's powered by Gamespy meaning it goes through gamespy. But it has it's ingame server and all that leaderboards stuff. The online is set up very much like Starcraft/Warcraft 3.

if it's through gamespy then maybe you can get passed the cdkey check via the hosts file. If any1 wants to try it, ill tell you how, once i find out the exact master server name..
If anyone knwos the exact name of the master server that could help. I need it in XXXX.master.gamespy.com form. Peace,

I noticed at the end of the install it said "registering product" is that a bad thing? since this is not a bought copy?

Just open regedit or whatever you us and go to hkey local machine/software/thq/dawn of war .
The cdkey is located there.
But still how do you get online and play on lan?

worked now.
Think LAN is available now, but u need a Original Key to play Online.
As always.
maybe Direct Connect works?

No you don't need BattleLan.. My colleague and I played Direct Join/Host and it worked flawlessly! No need for All Seeing Eye, Kali, or BattleLan (wish this guy would update BattleLan - damn useful util!)

Haha, I was cruisin' through the first mission and I couldn't finish it because the damn game wanted me to build a base but it wouldn't gimme any builder guys, just two neutrals that it wouldn't let me control...

any one one have sound crackling ripping problems I know there are a lot of people on the relic forums , nobody has a fix for it though

i have an odd bug where the entire game kinda lags, its like a movie out of sync, it runs fine but every 1-2 seconds it suffers a maaassive fps slowdown for a few millisec, the result is like a friggen 200km/h train going over speedbumps. Anyone else has this prob or a fix? thx
