I dont think squirrels would eat alcohol (like fermented berries) . More likely to be poisoned by something that they naturally wont avoid, like rat poison.

Actually I think animals enjoy alcohol as much as people do.
Couple of years ago we had whiskey chocolate @ christmas. We went to my brothers house and when we got home, our dog was drunk as fuck. He really seemed happy tho, I think he enjoyed it. Next day he hardly moved. It was funny =]
