Today the GODS @ Paradox have released Tiger_Woods_PGA_Tour_07_USA_PS3-PARADOX which is the last remaining USA PS3 title that currently needed dumping. For those interested, the size is 6.85 GB (7,365,525,504 bytes) and the NFO File is available, and although PDX let us know they haven't had time to examine FW 1.5 yet their NFO Files states the following:

So hopefully the BETA testing won't take long, however, there is a good chance nothing will be released publically until after the EUR PS3 release on March 23, 2007.
The PS3 cant load iso's yet, but the NFO states that an ISO loader is on the way.. My best guess would be that its some kind of application (much like the PSP's DevHook applications..) but honestly, right now, it could be anything.. or it may not exist at all!

To be honest though I don't think the two consoles are in direct competition anyway, seems like very few of the really exceptional games on both the xbox and ps2 were multiplatform anyway.

A 600$ pricetag is bad enough but Sony decides to make it 800$+ and move the launch for 5 months.

The best and most creative games do come from Japan, its just a shame that the characters in most games look so bloody ridiculous (blue spikey hair, overly large eyes) I love he games but hate the anim
Ive still seen nothing to make me want to buy a 360 or a ps3 - even if they dropped the price to what it should be - not the over inflated price they are now

I agree with you completely, just that if your principles are as strong as mine they won't hold up to a catalog of exclusive 9/10 games.
Just think the reality of the situation is that the Japanese are Patriotic and for want of a better word Snobs. If Gears of War doesn't sell the 360 nothing will. And if the Japanese don't buy it, they sure as hell won't develop for it more than the odd token crossplatform gesture.
Cant trust that video, the room is blackened and the camera is on a tripod, it could be cut in a million places.
And funnily enough the most innovative and best Japanese games in this gen are on the 360. Practically only Devil May Cry, Tekken, MGS4 and GT5 remain exclusive to the PS3 and a select few made by sony themselves. With an ever increasing devtime for next gen games Sony will be in a world of hurt trying to make up for the lost exclusives all by their lonesome.
And one of their biggest sellers for the west was the GTA series.. and only a blind fool would deny that. They LOST IT this time, and even if I might have both consoles this fall I'll play it on my 360 to get the achievements.
And how might sony explain the accute lack of launch units in europe this march when the NTSC units for both US and Japan are sitting on the shelves and there's obvious overproduction.

I could've said that a year ago... wait, scratch that.
I DID say that a year ago about the 360, and look at it now.
Granted, it was the only next-gen console on the market for a year, but now with competition, it's going to end up in a distant 3rd.
I don't see the PS3 winning this console war, unfortunately (the Wii is a force to be reckoned with), but I do see it taking #2.

I hope you are wrong, the PS3 has to succeed, Japan is a huge market and if the 360 doesn't sell over there what other Next Gen console are they going to buy .... If we just have the 360 we're going to be swamped with 1st and 3rd person shooters, mostly US developed games ....... I play mostly Jap games, the best games this year I've played are on the PS2 and yes I do have a 360 but nothing on the 360 has come near Dragon Quest 8, Okami, Rogue Galaxy even Final Fantasy ..... the only way I'm going to play games like these is if the PS3 succeeds ... it will be a nightmare if only the 360 comes out a winner ....... and anyway if this loader is real, we're only going to pay for the system, the games are free

Guess i'm happy that I never was a big fan of Jappaneese RPG games. Give me Kotor or Bauldur's Gate type games. I can't get into the games you just mentioned.
I do, however, wish more Game companies would produce some good RPG games.
I have seen a few down the pike that look good for the 360.
Oh, and just to be clear... i never said i WANTED the PS3 to fail. But I really think they shot themselves in the foot badly. Sure they can bounce back, but I don't look for them to pass the 360 this time around. That's just my oppinion.
There's already a few game sthat were supposed to be PS3 exclusive that have jumped ship onto the 360. To me, that doesn't sound good. Well. It does in the sense that I will have those games ont he 360.

You are right about "charachters" , when I started some of the "japaneese RPG games for PS2" makes me wanna call law inforcment and report store where I bought the game for distribution of sick kiddie porn
