First of all my grandfather had an Heart attack last week but he's okay so it's not such a big deal for me though he's still connected to a breathing machine. So my Grandmother is staying with us until he will be okay, and that's also not such a big deal.
The main problem is that
1. This week i got about 4 exams in school
2. People are coming over here and calling non-stop to see how things are. (Moroccan family Razz)
3.I just had a horrible hand ache yesterday and I couldn't do a thing (including studying to the exams)

So anyways, today I was supposed to have a test at Geography, but I didn't go to school because of my hand and I will have to get a permit from a doctor for that. But now, a friend of mine called me and he tells me that the test is delayed for tomorrow! and FFS! now I also have to skip school tomorrow and I will have to get a double permit from a doctor because I couldn't fucking study for that test! How will I explain the doctor that I had to stay home for 2 days because of a minor hand injury that can't be even seen?! I will have to be really convincing.

Well I just have a huge headache because of all of this things, and I need a break, I want to go out of the country, enjoy the scenery and never come back Razz
Mmmm I want to go to Italy! Toscany, w00t.
Too bad... I might not be able to get out of the country for like 4 years because I enlist soon to the army, but I might have a small trip before the army because of my little brother's Bar-Mitzva.

Arghhh
Headaches!

Last year I was forced to write a test while suffering from terrible pain in my hand, cuz the day before I kicked the shit out of some fuck and got wounded : \.

About the enlisting... Let me guess, the date they gave you is somewhere in July right?

Bullshit, they will soon change it to November 2007/ March 2008. Just like I'm fucked with march 2007.
Feel free to travel as you please.

Well that depends, you are probably not going to a fighting division (Kravi), right?
I don't know... atm my profile is 82 so I'm targeted to a battle supporting division (Tanks/Artillery)which is enlisting in July-August, but I might as well get to the Intelligence force and then I might be enlisted later.

Nouseforaname - actually It can be very good if you get to the right places. People who get to the Intelligence forces learn a lot of things in the army and once they are released they are being hired to lots of high tech companies and start their civilian life with quite a good start. Most of our High-Tech companies that are very successful are run by people who served in the computer groups in the Intelligence force.

Ahh you're still young...
A few mistakes:

A. Artillery and the armored forces are fighting devisions just like the infantry. They're not battle supporters.

B. All the fighting devisions have three enlisting dates a year... August, Nov-Dec, March-April.
So it doesnt matter in which of these dates you'll get recruited.

And no, I'm going to kravi.

Where do you want to go?

Well as far as I understood Artillery(Tothanim) and Tanks (Shirion) are qualified as fighting supportes (Tomhei Lehima).

I want to go to Intelligence. They sent me an inquiry for "Gama Project"... might be interesting since they have a lot of variations in all computer aspects.(Even CG which might be quite interesting Smile )

Dangerouseddy- I'm wasn't serious about that Italy thingy Smile I really want to go there though -
A. I'm in the middle of school.
B. I need $$$.
C.I can't go alone Razz

Gama is realy nice, one of my best friends is there but you need to be a serious geek in order to qualify.

And about shiryon and tothanim... They're fighters, and trained as such.
Maybe they're less qualified and shiny like the infantry and the SF.
But still they're fighters and get a "teudat lohem" as all the fighters.

How does hand ache stop you from revising? It's not as if you need to write anything to revise.

Not sure about over there, but here if you suddenly develop an illness on the day of the exam they'll tell you to fuck off. Maybe you'll get lucky and have a sympathetic doctor.

The doctor doesn't really care or know if I had an exam or not, he just give me the paper and I hand it to the teacher and I'm fixed Smile

Well a bit before my days the best jobs as a drafted guy in the army was Military Inteligence. They would give you a terrific steam course in Russian. Very Happy But to be frank, no military service does form you in a positive way unless you want to become a hawk or something.

Actually, if you don't go through a trauma the army can change your personality for the good.
You can actually understand who are your neighbors and where you live in, you learn to socialize with people who are supposed to save your life and you are supposed to save theirs and it's quite nice. The problem is that serving in the army here is no joke though it's not as bad as serving in Iraq for example.

Well i was part of a medical platoon of a infantry battalion, never seen live action (not surprisingly). But no can't say that it made me any better. It wasted 2 years of my life actually. So they learned me how to kill a person wearing a bullet proof vest for example, just target the armpit. Problem is my situation is not comparable with yours. You might develop a thicker skin in the army but i seriously doubt if that is psychologically an improvement.

I was referring to the university I go to, not the doctor. Unless they have prior notification, or it's a serious illness/accident and not some minor thing you could fake then your fucked.

But as I said, dunno what it's like over there.
