you must be one ingnorant mofo. To answer the first. Best income in whole europe (I say europe because i have no ide what people earn in Kuwait/dubai). 2. health care. 3. nice envoirment/nature.
4. very litte crime 5. few people 6. that we are not in EU. Thank god, gtf away from our oil money. 7. you can get quite alot money for not doing shit if you play your cards right.
There are other thing too who make it a very good place to live. We can feel safe with all the billions we have in our oilfound, what happens if england have an economic crisis? Do you think wales will give you penis pumps :\

well it maybe true you earn more, but did you check the prices for goods with an inelastic demand (goods that will always be purchased by the consumer), such as food and energy?
last time I was in oslo visiting a mate i was eating fish the whole time, meat was such a ripoff.the petrol prices my mate pays are beyond comprehension too, hell I thought gordan brown was an asshole.
And your tobacco taxes? Alcohol?
Spent over £70 (around 900 of your kronas) on a night out that was fairly average.
Sp yes, I would agree, people earn more, but when compared to an average UK salary I would say on the whole the increase is disproportionate to the increase for the cost of living.
As for your health service, anything beats the mess that is the NHS.
Other than that you're more than welcome to stay out of the EU with your immoral whale harpooning antics, face it, your government would have a pretty hard time imposing the trading standards set by EU legislation on its goods and services.
I can't see any particular merits with having an open border with norway, we already have enough surplus stocks of haddock and cod to last our fish and chip shops for decades.

Petrol prices is mostly the same in Scandinavia. Whats really fucked up is that there is pretty big range between the petrol prices in Norway. Even seen a place it was 9kr. Mostly its 10-11kr = 1.2 euro per liter. Also heard its pretty high prices in Netherlands. And it wasn't more than 2-3 kr cheaper in Poland, and they don't earn that much.
You are a little wrong with energy. Its cheaper than in Sweden, but then we buy back some because we miss calculated, for more money.. or some shit like that. The food is mostly expensive yeah. Meat is very expenive. And we have very high prices on junkfood (generaly)
You are right about the Alcohol and tobacco
And we all know captials are expensive. Just like i don't want to buy stuff in Germany anymore because iv been to Berlin. Insane prices.
We got 24% taxes on food, its much more in countries like Belgium...

Haha, yeah I think I overlooked the petrol prices just because my mate was moaning at the time about how much they'd risen in the past few months, but then its the same everywhere..oil is a scarce resource sadly.
Here VAT is 17.5%, some food and other goods are exempted due to "zero-rate" legislation and the charge is reduced to 5%..
VAT in Belgium is not charged at 24%, it is 21%, the exempt value at 12% or 6%, how is that more than Norways imposed level of 25%?
Sweden charges the highest in the EU, with 26% being charged. FYI, "food tax" is nothing more than plain and simple VAT.
Insane prices in Berlin?
What prices were insane? Example?
Being half german, I grew up in Deutschland and I would say that Berlin is probably one of Europes cheapest capitals.. this has to do with the fact that unlike the people living in most capitals, Berliner are very poor, there is a high proportion (30%) of low income immigrants resident there. And lets not forget its history. When the Wände came in 1989 and east berlin was opened. a fairly sizeable economic recession took its toll on the cities' economy. Why?
1) The then current Bundeskanzler, Helmut Kohl, announced that every East German would be welcomed into the west with a 100DM "Startkapital", ie. 100DM of german tax payers' money for every east german citizen
2) Against the wishes of the Bundesbank, he announced that East Germans would recieve a 1:1 exchange rate against the Ostmark, a decision which means that even today, Foreign Direct Investment in former east germany is very low by comparison to other former eastern bloc countries such as the Czech Republic or Poland.
What happened after the above? Income dropped, the bottom fell out of the market.
For an example, if you were to buy a Currywurst at the Alexanderplatz subway station, you would not have to pay more than €2.50 for it.
In Hamburg, Frankfurt and Munich? A more realistic price would be around €3.50-4
Real estate in Berlin is also very cheap by comparison to Paris, London, Madrid and other European capitals.. there are vast areas of desolate, unused land in the heart of the city that are being converted in offices, residential areas and shopping malls very cheaply.

Seriously, if any retards think it's cold in Scandinavia they need their heads checked. Thanks to the wonders of global warming, our environment is getting completely fucked. 10 years ago you would have at least 50-100 cm of snow by early november. Now it's December, and we've yet to have a single snowflake where i live. Last year we only had snow in January and February. And i looks like it's going to be the same this year. Winter has shifted forwards by several months over the last decade. If that isn't proof of global warming, nothing is.
