Well, the new nhl season is almost here. Thought it'd be appropriate to create a leaf thread.
Pre-season aint going so well. Its 5-3 Ottawa with a few seconds remaining in the game.
Still, I have a feeling. This year is Cup Year for the Leafs 
EDIT
Last 2 Pre Season games are against the Red Wings. Saturday at Detroit, Sunday at the ACC
I dont think they are televised tho. I checked Leafs tv and the only game they are covering is Leafs at Calgary on Sat night...but the commentator just said it was a Detroit weekend...fuck, Im confused.

yeah, me too.
Finally something to watch on tv. Lost will be premiering soon, the nhl season starts...next week right? I hope it starts next week.
Thats why I love the winter. Hockey and booze are the best mix ever. I get into the game 100% and have a great time....for sure, the best game on earth.
And it just so happens im from a city with the best hockey team ever

Did you see the game tonite? Fuckin ugly man. 2 straight loses to Ottawa.
Telquist or whatever his name is, he's a piece of shit.
Siklobov or whatever that new guys name is, he's gunna be a star this year i think. He makes some nice plays

nah, i have nothing at all against the leafs. the only teams i cant stand are colorado, chicago and edmonton, not because of last seasons elimination, i never liked them a bit...

Toronto at Detroit 6pm Saturday Leaf TV
Detroit at Toronto 7pm Sunday Leaf Tv
And I think they are doing radio coverage on 590

lol pre-season games mean nothing, they even mean less than nfl preseason games. i dont follow them at all

Chicago... Wirtz (owner of the blackhawks) thinks people will buy more tickets to games if they dont televise home games. He's a twat.
None of the local channels show games. There's a random game on espn or espn2 every once in a while. The only channel that consistently shows games is the Outdoor Life Network which i don't get. So yea, it's basically not televised here.
I've honestly seen more old games on Espn classic than I have of current games.
I think that maybe they would understand that a sport cant gain popularity without exposure yet owners complain about how the sport is struggling in the states.

shit, i remember living in detroit, they televised every single game on tv, either on fsn or upn, if they didnt show it on espn, they usually show a few games every season. the reason prolly is, wings games are sold out anyway, regardless of tv or not, because they rock! i wont go into detail about the blackhawks

What?! Thats complete bullshit man.
Chicago could also be called a hockey town...the blackhawks have been around for years.
I cant believe they dont televise blackhawk games...thats ridiculous.
It'd be like not covering a leaf game...totally outrageous.
Every leaf game is sold out still, no matter if leafs are sucking or not.
I havent been to a leaf game at the ACC yet only been to the Gardens once sucks...fuckin leaf tickets are hard to get...unless you get them from a company or something...my aunt gets platinum seats but never takes me |

Omg....2 straight loses to Ottawa and then 2 to detroit...I know its pre-season hockey but fuck...the leafs are playing like shit. Raycroft has potential and is better than telquist but still...lots of stupid fuckin mistakes and stuff.
We better open the season with a win against ottawa on wednesday
Hopefully, they've worked out all the bugs

hey, at least we dont try to buy the stanley cup like others. even though we are always accused of doing so. the red wings are one of the few clubs who know shit about scouting, most of the past years rosters are own draft picks (datsyuk, zetterberg, kronwall, etc.)
