Was? You got him stuffed?

It is a real seal and he is alive and happy. Very Happy It was like holding a bag of wiggly bubber. He had the cutest face. Big eyes.

I was walking my dog one day at Mud Bay. It is a bay of mud at lowtide. Anyway I saw a seal was lying in the mud and 2 dogs were going after it. The owners were clueless. I went out there and picked him up. There are soo many coyotes out there I don't think he would of made the night. So I took him home. Stuck him in a bathtub of cold water and made phone calls. Holy shit were they pissed. The SPCA was going to have me charged until the Seal Rescue place got involved. I was issued a temp transport permit of a wild/marine animal and drove off with him to the rescue center. They were great there, let me feed him. Very Happy He was really hungry. He still had the umbilical cord showing.

Why is it the medicine of women?

ok so far as I understand .. the idea is each segment of the year has predominant animals plants stones ect .. sort of a rotation of influence present in nature as the seasons pass .. that can be understood & followed via understanding of any given segment of the years medicine .. nature for lack of better words ..

I would guess otter is representative of woman because @ the time of year otter is represented on the wheel .. hunting isn’t a primary & home life, family is dominant .. thus the women folk are dominant during that season .. & the qualities of woman being liked to the feminine qualities of otter ..

Quote:
OTTER

Joy, Power of Woman

Otters awaken curiosity. They remind us that everything is interesting
if we look at it from the right angle.

The Otter totem is connected to
the primal feminine energies of life:
the elements of both Earth and Water are present in Otter medicine.

With an Otter totem, you must remember the beauty of a balanced female side,
creating a space for others to enter our lives without preconceptions or suspicions.
Otter teaches that balanced female energy is not catty or jealous,
but it is sisterhood and sharing with others.
Otter expresses joy for others.

Remember that all of us, both men and women, have a feminine side.

If an Otter has entered your life, it may be time to find some play time
in your life, to awaken your inner child.
Allow events to unfold naturally in your life. Be careful not to hang on the material things
in your life that bind you or become a burden.
Become Otter and move gently into the river of life.
