Hey, is there any way round my isp throttling the usenet port? I connect at 7.6mbps and I`m throttled to 2mbps on usenet..

Yes the sonsofbitches they probably are. It sucks doesnt it? The unfortunate thing is that most of them are doing it. I wouldnt mind paying extra per month to use my max bandwith for downloading. I dont even get 8mb so I think I should be throttled to 3mb or 4mb. That would be ok. 2mb sucks. Rant over. lol May the NFOrce be with you always.

ISP is Eclipse http://www.eclipse.net.uk/ They say nothing about throttling I connect at 7.6 Mbps, so to get cut down to 2 is a right shite and a half!!

haha really? thats my ISP lol. I have an 8mb connection but connect at 4.5mbps. I think you will find Usenet is throttled to 2mb from about 8am to midnight. I created a thread similar to yours lol. If you find an ISP thats decent let me know.
