@nouse
haha I have a billion of those same bottles of water as in that first link,

I just like the taste of bottled water better. Can't stand the chlorine. In Whister the water tastes ok outta the tap so I will drink that. I am a water snob.

@deelix
I always have frozen bottled water on hand. I take it everywhere with me that way 4 hrs later I have cold ice water to drink.

@mark
What is wrong with your water. Does it taste like crap.

The tap water here has high amounts of salt and other scale because mostly it is pumped from below the ground. The israeli mineral water here is very good though, because it's origins are the springs in northern Israel created from melting ice on the Hermon mountain.

This index takes into account what a country could be doing comparing to what it is actually doing in terms of environmental performance:

Quote:
By identifying specific targets for environmental performance and measuring how close each country comes to these established goals, the Pilot 2006 Environmental Performance Index (EPI) provides benchmarks for current national pollution control and natural resource management results. The issue-by-issue and aggregate rankings facilitate cross-country comparisons both globally and within relevant peer groups. The EPI thus provides a powerful tool for improving policymaking and shifting environmental decisionmaking onto firmer analytic foundations.

The EPI centers on two broad environmental protection objectives: 1) reducing environmental stresses on human health and 2) protecting ecosystem vitality. Derived from a careful review of the environmental literature, these twin goals mirror the priorities expressed by policymakers, most notably the environmental dimension of the United Nations' Millennium Development Goals. Environmental health and ecosystem vitality are gauged using sixteen indicators tracked in six established policy categories: Environmental Health, Air Quality, Water Resources, Biodiversity and Habitat, Productive Natural Resources, and Sustainable Energy.

The fourth bar over is water Wink

Most of the top 30 countries do pretty good in that category.

you can find individual country profiles here:

http://www.yale.edu/epi/2006EPI_AppendixC.pdf

You're right about Norway and Water Wink

I thought maybe that is what it was. Some areas have nasty tasting water. That is why I like reverse osmosis, it tastes better. I take vit. and other stuff so I don’t think I am lacking anything because of it. I HATE THAT MINERAL TASTE in water.

@NOUSE
Tap water has a funny taste. Sometimes it can be hard water and that stuff makes me almost puke. I also hate the Chlorine taste. Britta was ok, just because it was in the fridge and cold. I drink too much water to make britta practicle. I just get the Canadian springs 1 time a week and buy maybe 2 or 3 flats of water for the fridge/freezer.
