I don't see how I turned this thread to shit. It went off on a tangeant about someone with a mental illness still being in control. That clearly isn't true and you think you've seen and done it all when you haven't.
I know i've got a lot of life experiences to go threough but I'm willing to change through them whereas you aren't.

I'm not saying that's what he had, but that's just one mental illness which he could have had which caused him to do this. It only takes a drink to send a recovering alcoholic back into alcohol abuse, after a period of time though one drink wont make a difference. With mental illness it's permanent for the rest of their life so an event can easily send them into relapse.

Got this young ass 24 year old dancer chick keeping me busy right now, Im , a , older than that, so its a good thing, trust me. Feeling alot better about the shit now, not trying to kick everyones ass anymore, and mellowed back down. Thanks for the support, and discussion.

sadly i have seen my share of people killing themselves... i don't feel much about it anymore... there is only so many times you can be shocked when you arrived at the scene of a subway jumper, someone who ate a shot gun or a hanger...
when it comes to meth, i have no tolerance, it's addiction rate is among the top drugs and its a dirty drug and just rapes life and everything around it... you friend is free of the pain atleast now.. i wish you had info about his dealer and could report him, i can't stand dealers... small or big.

I am sorry you lost your friend. Hopefully everybody who knew him will support each other. I think it is harder for everyone when a person dies from something preventable, like drinking and driving.
I know it would of been so much hard for me in dealing with my cousin/room mate accident if there had been drugs or alcohol involved.
I have never and will never will drink and drive.

Me neither. When you drive you need to be 100% focused. And you judge everything wrong when you're drunk, so i will never do it..
I don't know about other countries. But we get some insane ticked or prison for driving with blood-alcohol level over 0.2 here. I know the limit mostly are 0.5 and 0.7 some places. Thats why its even more dangerous do drive home the day after. You may still have some alcohol in the blood as you loose about 0.10-0.15 a hour. So if you get caught 2 times you may loose your licence forever here :\
Nothing im proud of but iv been passenger with a drunken person once. We were both 16. I can't imagine what trubble we could be in if we was busted. Because i knew is age, i would also get some kind of punishment.

I have been a passenger as well. Not many times, but I have been with a lot of people who have smoked up in the car. Mostly when I was in my early 20’s. We were pulled over for speeding once and the cop stuck his face right into the car and all the driver got was a speeding ticket. There was no way he didn’t didn’t smell it. We drove away feeling really lucky. I don’t allow that in my car. I have had my licence for 12 yrs and have never been pulled over for anything.

for a police force to be effective, you should randomly be pulled over atleast once every 3 years... sadly canadian police forces are so horribly understaffed that it is hard to even keep up with the growth of population, much less doing random stops...
at any time in ontario there are 200000+ drivers out there without license and insurance...

I'd argue that smoking weed doesn't impair your driving ability.
So would these people:

My boys and I drive around all the time smoking blunts and stuff. I mean, its not the smartest thing to do, but it doesnt impair your driving ability. Aleast amoung my friends.
Fuck, the other week when I went with my buddy to Niagra Falls (to drop his girl off) we must have smoked atleast 8 blunts. No accidents or close calls you know?
As long as your driving normal and not speeding or anything there should be no reason to get pulled over. |

They have done studies and it has been shown the being tired while driving is worse then weed or alcohol (depending on amount). I know a lot of people that say smoking up makes them a better driver because they are more relaxed and slow down. I myself don't because if something was to happen (my fault of not) I want to be able to look the family in the eye and say sorry and mean it.
Plus I think I would have a panic attack if I was pulled over stoned. I have never been pulled over, and only have gone through maybe 5 road checks in my life.
If I smoke up I perfer to be in the privacy of my own home where I don't have to do anything for anybody.

Why would you have a panic attack if you were pulled over while smoking a joint?
Cops dont bother arresting if you have a bit of tree's on you.
If you have over an ounce in the car, then yeah, your spending the nite in jail.
You know what sucks about holding cells? the 'beds'...a fuckin metal grate that has square holes in it. Impossible to get comfortable |
