The chances are you probably don't either. I'm sure he would be understanding, just pissed off and feels used if he has to eat the whole dinner by himself. I wouldn't be surprised if he got up and left as soon as he heard you weren't gonna order. That'd certainly leave you embarassed and probably what you deserve too.

Well you must be shallow because I wasn't talking about his looks exclusively. If you find him arrogant, or bad company why even bother wasting your time with them?

You coulda just googled a picture and shut everyone up ages ago, but you had to drag it on and on.
‘Cause I’m not a liar. If I went and googled for a pic.. I wouldn’t want to visit these forums anymore. It’d be just akward… people thinking you look like something, but you’re not the person they envision. Ick!

Quote:
It doesn't make sense how you had to date girls from other schools. I'm sure if you can get someone from another school then you coulda got someone from your own school if you didn't look at the floor so much.
It does when you’re the joke of the entire school. Believe you me. It's a lot easier to ask a strange girl out, than some twit who knows you from the stories other classmates spread around.

Quote:
You didn't say this because noone asked. Of course if a thread started about something you regret, then maybe you coulda posted this, but then again noone would know any different if you didn't post it. Things like this (sharing some information) can't be compared to you being open.
Just an example. I don’t have things to be proud of. I can only share sorrow, and there’s too much of that in the world today.

it does to me. Internet is filled with real people. Lying to them is like lying to youself and I can’t stand that. I try to be honest and truthful. Because I think it’s the right thing to do.

You can ask me anything and i'll give a straight forward answer as best I can, that's being open. You though, you restrict what you say and probably re-read everything you type twice to make sure it sounds ok and isn't too much.
Not really. I re-write everything couple times. Sometimes I write page long replies to a post and re-write into something much shorter.

Quote:
Sure you can. You can congratulate them and know that when you graduate you too can be like that. You can also think they're lying but it's up to you. You don't need to be rich, or famous or anything. Just be what you want to be and the rest doesn't really matter :/
Of course you can congratulate them, but it just makes you (me) feel less adequate while talking to them. I mean… I feel even embarrassed while talking to really pretty people… it just makes me feel more and more ugly.

Pistolshrimp, I get things like that too. Not exactly like that.

Especially when I'm walking alone to places. I feel eyes on me and I just start spazzing out (internally). I get little migraines… explosion like and I just can’t stand it. And my eyes feel like it twitches maybe it does ‘cause my vision gets blurry.

My hands start shaking and I can’t feel my feet. Like I can feel them, but it’s like they’re not there. Like they haven’t been used in ages.

But when I’m with people… it’s less and less frustrating. I really hate waiting for the light to change and then crossing the street… yuck… Laughing

I love hanging out… just not by my self… I can’t find things to do by my self so I end up freaking out because I keep thinking everyone out there is just mocking me Laughing

3am... serenity is over Sad

Isn't this the same thing? Rolling Eyes Either way you're the type of person who's far too cautious. And I don't mean re-reading it to make sure it's spelt properly, I mean re-reading so that it sounds ok to you (and I don't mean grammatically correct either)

So if someone said they had a million $ and then were told they got it from a member of their family / the lottery would you still feel inferior? You might envy their good fortune but it doesn't make them any better than you. And so what if they've got a yacht etc. Like you said you're just about to graduate. the chances are they've had a career for a while or got a lucky break. Your career is just starting and that could be you in 20 years time.

No it’s not. I look at the content when I write. I do often care how it’s written, because as you said, I have to like it. I have to approve it. If I don’t like I change it. The content stays the same, but I must like it if I’m pressing the submit button. It’s not being cautious… at least I don’t think it’s being cautious. I’ve re-written essays the night before they were due because of a sentence that I didn’t think fit.

When you are out with someone you should treat them a certain way. Even if they are arrogant. No matter what situation I always try to be the bigger person.

I am good if I am walking because I am doing something. I had to do a bunch of banking today and had to sit in the office for over 40 min and I was worried I was going to have one. I don’t think she notices. My signature card I signed is totally not my sig. I am ok hanging out with myself.

Ohh no more Serenity. I have watched that maybe 8 times. I have probably seen every firefly ep maybe 8 times each. I have seen every ep of Buffy prob. 12 times. and Angel maybe4-6 times each.

Still doesn't make sense. If the stories were about your background then the chances are they probably followed you anyway. And if they're about your looks then I cant see everyone saying the same things about you. You might've felt like an outcast through the whole of your school life but it doesn't mean you are just a joke, they just didn't bother getting to know you. I know a few people who i've been like this too, but they know the situation and if I see them about in clubs or whatever i'll still have a few words with them and see how they're getting on now.

You only need to lie to me once for me to get annoyed at you. The same can be said for the reverse too. If they don't believe me the chances are I'll brush it aside and if they still don't believe you then just don't tell them again, not everyone will react the same and it's no skin off your back.

Arrogance was just an example. There are loads of other things they can do that will annoy, or turn you off them. You've just met them so what does it matter if you never see them again? They'll probably think the same about you (just the opposite i.e. you're boring, don't have much to say) or it will be a kick in the teeth for them and they might start to question what went wrong and try to improve.

Not attacking you but if I was going to a restaurant and sat down and then the waiter came around to order and you said you're not eating i'd probably be pissed off at you for not saying so beforehand. Why stay in the restaurant if you're not going to eat when you can go to a better more suitable location. I wouldn't be annoyed at missing out on a free meal it'd just send out bad vibes from the start and I wouldn't be able enjoy the meal or care for what you have to say much either.

I don’t have that kind of a problem with my food touching other food but I definitely don’t like it. It should not be. I wouldn’t order another dinner over it. I would prefer to hang onto my money. If I make a plate often I take a paper towel to clean off a bit of splatter on the side.

Mostly I am weird when it comes to the seating. It has to be a booth that is out of the way. I like my back up against the wall. I like it dark.

Ohhh Water is a big one. I have to have a glass of water and they have to keep it refilled. Sometimes I just ask for a jug because they always forget the water. I can’t eat without the water.

I also start to panic if I run out of water when I am out or when the bottle maybe had 4 inches of water left. I am a bit obsessed with water bottles. I stop somewhere and buy some more. Then I drink that bottle because it is cold and leave the other one. I can’t throw out the other bottle because it still has a bit of water so I keep it. Then I have to buy another bottle. I counted 34 basically empty water bottles in my car. You open the doors and 8 will fall out. Same thing beside my bed. I counted 60. 1/2 of those rolled under the bed. I am not a pig at all I just have a hard time parting with the bottles when they have 2 inches of water in them. I may REALLY need that water one day.

If I am paying why would that make it not a date? So if the guy pays it is a date and if the women pays then it is not. I have been on lots of dates where we paid for ourselves. And those were real dates. I am a bit worried over the bill. If he is boozing it up it is going to get expensive.

Actually I would probably be seeing him again. He works for my contractor right? I hire them maybe 3 times a yr. He is going to be coming into contact with my family too. althou, I doubt it will be a lot of contact. I am kinda glad my Dad is playing golf in Scotland. Bit of an issue about dating the help, it is just not done. I am not really one that follows the rules tho.

See, I know you put in a gold digger trophy there... but it's not as bad you think (least not for when you're over 60 and a bachelor) Rich, successful people have access to a lot of things I’ll never in a million years get to see. I'm fine with it, though, it's not a life I want... but compared to it, mine seems third grade (or even fourth) and when socializing with them, I’m embarrassed of what/who I am. I'll still talk with them, but more about them and their careers and less about my nonexistent ones Laughing

A successful life, even if it’s temporary, is a whole lot better than a life of an unemployed, undereducated student Laughing
