I recently got this phone: SE W810i It says it plays .mp4 video files, but it can't quite get it to work Now... I tried to convert a divx avi to a .mp4 format using this program -- Winxmedia AVI/WMV MP4 Converter -- found here .. http://www.winxmedia.net/ so anyways, when I transferred my video to the phone, I only saw sound and no picture. do I have to resize the video to the resolution of my phone (and what about the FPS rates) . I can watch video sideways on the phone the the aspect ratio should still be fine). Also, do groups release 'cell phone' releases, or do I need to pretty much re-encode everything myself. Is it possible to install any other codecs with this type of phone? While we're at it, does anyone know any good resources for SE phones? I'd really like to find out what this phone can do besides what's in the manual. Are there any kinds of things like NES emulators that run on Java on my phone? I know it's not exactly a smart phone, but I can seem to install apps and other things... Try this conversion tool. erightsoft super.. its freeware http://www.erightsoft.net/home.html Videos should be encoded as 3gp. the audio will be in .mp4 format though. video size: 176x144 frame rate around: 25 video bitrate around: 140 note. These are the settings for the w800i. not sure if they are the same for the w810i. Hope this helps Here is a good forum with lots of cell phone Q/A.
