Just found out Google Earth has my area at a normal resoloution so i wanted to check it out and then i fell in love with google earth, so i decided to open a thread. (also because i'm really bored)

The US millitary (and im sure many other) want to shut down google eath because people can find millitary bases and lots of other secret stuff they aint supose to find. And also make tactics based on what they have found. I don't know how good al quaida are with PC's but.. imagine.

Deelix: Oh yeah they are absoloutly right abou that, now people can see alot of military bases everywhere. Though i don't know if they should shut down google earth because of this, maybe just censor these places.

Heaven if you like silent places, near the sea. But then again im not much of an "town" guy.
The only thing i can complain about is that i want a some stores abit closer. To 2 km to get food. 5-6 to get other stuff. But as i mentioned earlier, it woun't be a problem when i get my driving licence.

I was under the impression you can't see areas that are in conflict.
The last time I checked Israel It showed nothing! actually almost all of the middle east was fuzzy except for the tourist stuff.
My google earth looks different then yours. I should take a screen shot and post it but I don't know if I deleted google earth..
@deelix LOL I am sure Al Quaide is proficient with computers, at least in terms of sending out marriage proposals to unknown western women on IM's.

Btw: why in the Satelite picture the ground is brown in your area but in the normal picture everything is green? The Satellite picture was taken in the winter and the other one in the summer?
