XFX 9070XT Swift for 600€... back to AMDerp after all these years
Check out Optiscaler and enjoy FSR4 on almost any game. But I bet AMD is going to cost you some nerves.

In the way that if you want f.e. to use FSR4 in older games you can but you need to use Optiscaler. Or that when you install drivers you should sometimes use DDU. I strongly recommend to turn off the Windows option that automatically updates drivers, it sometimes overwrites drivers, it that happened to me once.
If you want to OC, go ahead. Best is to undervolt, so you get higher boosts, but don’t expect to get a universal stable setting. -75mv may be stable in some game but not in another that only does -35mv.
You can now enjoy RT in most titles but PT will cause issues, CP2077 works well with RT but PT crashes. Its not fast enough anyway.
Of course you can just enjoy your card oob too. Its a great fast card.

I'm still on a 60Hz monitor so...
Need to look into DDU, think I'll need it to swap from the 3070 to the 9070XT properly; no plan in OC'ing it anytime soon.
Hell, I wasn't even planning to buy a GPU now, was waiting for +16GB VRAM models but since those are now predicted for >= Q3 2026 and prices will most likely skyrocket from now to then, here we are.
Thanks for the tips men
EDIT: Thought it was going to be pretty huge but it's around the same size or even marginally smaller then the 3070 gamingx trio I had; did some fiddling with the help of a friend increasing the power limit and had to turn off rebar and turn it back on on bios to be detected, but it's all good now.
Mostly been playing Oblivion Remastered, just kicked most options in that to high/ultra from medium/high, looks a bit better but still have some of the same stuttering as before.
Would be a good idea to test it with some more recent games but aside from Avowed (that already ran perfectly) can't remember any recent game worth it, maybe stalker 2 but not really in a mood to go back to that

I've noticed something interesting about Reflex and multi frame generation.
With 240hz monitor, Reflex (sometimes) gives me an fps limit of 224.
Then MFG at x4 is maximum of 56x4, so if your native fps without frame generation is like 100, it's a huge waste to use x4 fg. Makes more sense to use x2 or x3 as long as the result stays below 224fps, so you are not reducing your real fps - input lag.
I think I get it right... yeah?

Indeed. FG always adds a tiny bit of latency. The less you need to get your max hz, the better.
If you play competitively it would be better to turn it off and go for 120FPS on your monitor, I suppose.
