The game is pretty cool, third person camera aside.
There's value to the loot you bring back to the base because of the way the crafting works.
The gameplay has a lot of interactive elements. The map design and basic gameplay mechanics allow you to do a lot of pretty cool things. But there are also the gadgets that you can bring to the raids which you can use to block doors, create cover, deploy ziplines, plant mines, etc.
The AI's behavior is impressive, it's so natural and even challenging to deal with.
The shooting is solid and the sound design is fantastic.
The graphics are good and the game runs smoothly on a 4080 Super even with DLAA on. I can't say this about a lot of other games.
There seems to be enough character progression to incentivize you to play and experiment.
Starting with five maps is not fantastic, but it ain't bad either. You can get a lot out of a single map and I'm sure they will add more in the future.
It seems its running so nice because it is using heavily modified UE5, no nanite and lumen etc and use custom asset streaming to avoid stuttering, in other words one of the few developers who knows their shit.
I mean, their other game, the finals, also ran well. So really, it's not much of a surprise. Also, it's not like the game is some incredible graphical masterpiece, but it looks good enough for what it is.
Sound design is amazing. It was really the stand-out thing for me in the game. AI is fine. Customization is too limited and not enough locations.
I don't know. It's a solid game, but it made me realize I don't have the patience to deal with pvp shooters anymore.
I spent about 15/16 hours in this server test. I thought it was OK. I'm not an extraction shooter player so maybe I expect a little too much but I found the loot to be boring. Maybe it's because there's more to come in the full game I'm not sure but looting wires, plastic parts and toasters isn't very exciting to me.
Also, the raid times, why so short? If it was up to me I'd remove the 30 minute maximum completely and just have active day/night cycles and you stay in for as long or as little as you want. Why would the 30 minutes be a thing?
Other than that I thought it was fine, I will buy it. It's only 40 euro's and I'm sure it's worth that.
Yeah would be good if the timer wasn’t so short.
Maybe if there is enough feedback, they’ll amend it to 60 minutes or something.
I’d like a PVE mode with no other players or coop modes against ARC enemies only probably wouldn’t work though.

You loot mostly to craft. You can find rare crafting items, key gadgets and even guns. But you want crafting materials and crafting blueprints more than anything.
