Legendary Entertainment has acquired feature film rights to The Toxic Avenger, with a reboot of the iconic Troma horror-hero franchise in the works. Original directors Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz of Kaufman’s iconic b-movie studio Troma Entertainment will serve as producers on the new film.

EDIT: Although then again a classic 80's early 90's movies remade into whatever the hell we're into at 2010+ well I don't hold too high hopes but we will see.
It's a remake of Toxic Avenger. One of the most ridiculously premised, low budget, bad effects and barely B list acting movies of the 80s. its popular because of shit it was.
Not sure what you was expecting other than "Yep, still shit like the original. But at least shit in HD now"
